I love where metal core is going recently. a lot more bass in the music and shit just sounds heavier throughout the genre. such a good direction
@aprioris.knowledge27656 жыл бұрын
SYTHEOPATH 1 listen to literally every "prog" (use the term loosely ) metalcore band or "djent" (basically prog metal core band) have been lately
@sytheopath12416 жыл бұрын
+Cortez Johnson Ya Foreal. not a bad thing at all. the scene has just featured more and more depth in the sound and production as a whole. I'm digging it
@aprioris.knowledge27656 жыл бұрын
SYTHEOPATH 1 its not but with anything to much isnt a good thing. I mean listen to almost evetything on tragic heros roster and it all soynds the same then idiots start throwing words around like generic and shit.
@sytheopath12416 жыл бұрын
+Cortez Johnson well we can't control people using the word generic for every band. if everything sounds the same but u like it then it IS a good thing. I would rather have every band sound good and be called generic than every band sound original but some sound like shit and others I just don't like. for instance, when you go to the cereal aisle at a supermarket you see tons of great cereals all of which you would choose and love to eat. I'd rather walk down the cereal aisle and see a ton of stuff I like then only being to able to choose between 2 brands
@aprioris.knowledge27656 жыл бұрын
SYTHEOPATH 1 true I literally hate the sound they have now but im going off where they were in ground culture or even when they had the other clean vocalist back in the day and i use to love reds riffs I dont think its generic i think its defenitly toned down esepcially in terms of instrumentals

This is exactly the kind of music I'd wish existed years back when I discovered heavy music after growing up on bands like Saosin and thinking how awesome a smooth blend of the two styles would be. It's crazy seeing it come to life like this.

Best thing this band has released in my opinion. The bassist stepping up to the cleans was what this band needed. I love riffs as much as the next guy, but this is more mature and cohesive than their previous works. Stoked to see them build upon this new sound!

Honestly, I really wish we'd get something along the lines of Ground Culture again, but if this is what these guys want to do then I'll still support them. This sounds like they've built upon the sound of their last album, and I like this a whole lot more than the majority of that album, so good job lads
