INXS was featured prominently in Season 2 of HBO's hugely successful show Euphoria. That is what led me to seek out this video, in fact. Watching those episodes set to INXS warmed my heart. I'm surprised that hasn't catapulted them back into the spotlight like Netflix's Stranger Things did for Kate Bush.

Michael Hutchence certainly had a gift for writing memorable lyrics. His voice was shaped by the bars he performed in before he went professional. Together with Andrew Farriss, who was a very skilled composer, they created a strong duo, supplemented by other skilled musicians. INXS songs are full of energy mainly thanks to MH, lyrics that are not cheesy and strong melodies. My personal favorites are Never Tears Us Apart and Mystify.

The city was spackled with their posters. I was SO sad. I always had the hugest crush on him, I'm still depressed that he's gone. His voice was mesmerizing and he had some of the strongest charisma ever from the first time I heard him sing and that was before I actually saw him on MTV and the rest, unfortunately, is history. I'd like to know what happened to the rest of the band, they were all super talented as well. The drummer and keyboard player really kicked butt!
