Yes the name is pronounced “in excess”. I was a teenager in Australia at the time this band was huge, they’re like the soundtrack for those years for me & we all adored them. Michael was a rare & electrifying talent.

INXS is pronounced “in excess” Michael Hutchence was so charismatic. His energy and talent were mesmerizing. Another gone waaay to young. May he continue to rest in peace. So many great artists have succumbed to the intense pressure that comes with pain. 😟

I saw INXS 3 times in the late 80s and early 90s. Michael Hutchence was THE MOST beautiful human being I've ever seen. I would love for you to react to "Elegantly Wasted". It's my favorite INXS song. RIP Michael..... November 1997. Such a shame.

This is an Australian band that was very talented and famous world-wide. I saw them in the 1980s in Oz before they became famous. When I saw their name I thought it was "inks" until the compere said they were "in excess-INXS".

Definitely explore more INXS, they were a great band and Michael Hutchins was a phenomenal front man. I saw them in concert in the late 80’s, I was a fan but not totally stoked for the show (in comparison to other band’s shows I was seeing at the time that is) but it was the best show, besides Robert Plant, I saw not only that year but for a few years afterwards. They killed it live, made me a huge fan and Hutchins was quintessential entertainer. May he RIP💜🙏💜.

Yes, in excess, like they are too damn much. They were huge stars throughout the 80s and early 90s. You have to check them out live. Total bad ass band. Try What You Need live at Wembley in 91 and or The Loved One live in Australia in 87. So many hits. They have a ton of rabid fans so get ready for the onslaught.

I had the fortune to see INXS on their Devil Inside tour and they were phenomenal. For additional tracks: NEVER TEAR US APART - one of the best ballads from a rock band ever. WHAT YOU NEED, SUICIDE BLONDE, DEVIL INSIDE - total bangers. NEED YOU TONIGHT / MEDIATE - do these two together, they're meant to flow.

True story. A friend brought Mick to see in INXS and Mick was jotting notes to borrow moves from Michael! Michael borrowed moves from Mick. Michael has most often been compared with Jim Morrison. Unfortunately, another sad ending.

I've heard of INXS but not really heard much of their music. This was a very good, upbeat, rock song - I really enjoyed it. Will investigate a bit more and check them out on KZbin. INXS where the first act I ever saw in 1991 when there were a huge band but doing small gigs for fans and they were incredible! A brilliant band with plenty of fantastic songs 👏👏👌👌👌

FINALLY‼🎸💯 INXS was fabulous‼🔥 [I was working as an AutoCad designer (for a major electric utility) on midnight shift when I first got into INXS! It was a high energy job & this music REALLY kept me going! Some of my co-workers nagged me until I loaned them some of my music & it didn't take long for them to "pick up" their work speed, too! Love your excitement and enthusiasm in your reaction to these songs. This hit came out in 1988 off their KICK album. The only single by INXS that hit number 1 on the US. Billboard Hot 100 was" NEED YOU TONIGHT". They were together for 35 yrs before they broke up in 2012. In November 1997 Michael Hutchence lead singer left us too soon. RIP Michael.

Every fan will tell you react to Wembley Stadium concert 🎶 it was a solo out concert with 75, 000 fan’s in London in 1991 at the peak of there popularity! It’s a must, do a reaction to this song from there and watch the whole crowd jumping, this band has to be watched live, great musicians with the most charismatic frontman in Micheal Hutchence RIP! I highly recommend from that concert Suicide Blonde, What You Want, New Sensation, Disappear, Mystify, Bitter Tears and Need You Tonight!
