I grew up on the other side of the world in the Little Rock, Arkansas metro area absolutely loving these guys, from the time I was old enough to really pay attention and start buying albums. (Kick was the first I bought, at 13.). Still one of my all time favorite bands. Never got to see them with Michael, but we were still blown away by them in 2006 with JD Fortune, before he went off the rails. ALL these guys really bring it to the table individually, and work so well together, too. You can tell they are close knit group of brothers/friends, outside of just playing music together.

You musta known i NEEDED some good "rockin" today, and you've delivered in spades Tex - Head bangin in my chair 🤟🤟🤟🤟 Tex, this week on our tv's across Aus we were all watching "Hey Hey It's Saturday Turns 100", and one of our much loved female artists from the 80s n 90s (Kate Cebrano) made a comment that explained exactly why our Aussie artists are so very good live, it's because the majority of our guys relied on "Hey Hey It's Saturday and Count Down" to get seen across Aus - They were both Aussie tv show's, Count Down 100% music, Hey Hey was a musical reality show (BOTH much loved and pure Aussie) Hey Hey was totally live and Count Down was recorded in live segments. So if our artists wanted to make it big, they had to be able to perform live, and very often impromptu and totally out of the blue..... "Hey Hey" showed Meat Loaf on the show, and he struggled with live. Pretty well much, if you couldn't perform live on "Hey Hey it's Saturday" or "Count Down" then you didn't sell records, because no one would hear your name.

I was at a country pub/hotel venue in the early 1980s when I first saw and heard INXS, a new band. ( At first I thought the name read, 'Inks'!). Everyone was gob-smacked. Even the dancers stopped dancing to watch them. In Australia, many bands honed their skills and craft and earned their stripes through 'Pub Rock'. They had to be good to get the attention of the drinking and noisy patrons. INXS was one of those bands.

They have had a song in a movie. Try Good Times, when INXS teamed with Jimmy Barnes. It was in the movie The Lost Boys and on the soundtrack for that movie. The original song was sung by another legendary Aussie Band called the Easybeats. That band has ties to ACDC as George Young is the older brother of Angus from ACDC. Enjoy the ride that is Aussie music. So much backlog for you to enjoy.

The second song at Wembley during the summer, it wasn’t long before Michael and Kirk had removed their jackets. Actually, Kirk put his red suit in a wardrobe after the gig, left for a while and was attacked by moths. He also fell, a few hours before the gig so medics had to take care of him

You can not go wrong with anything INXS! If you think the crowd was rocking wait to later! They were bigger than B.Jovi, U2 and others of their time. They were considered "the best live band in the world" They have the awards too. They were kids when they started in 1977. Three brothers and three non brothers, but they considered themselves brothers, 'cause they grew up together. They also invented this style of funky/rock/dance music. IMHO there were only three bands on this level, Zeppelin, Queen and INXS. INXS opened for Queen @ Wembley before they sold it out themselves, the only Australian band to do it.
