Like with any song or piece of music, lyrics are interpretive. Each of Trevor's songs tells a story and with this story, it's about a horrible man that goes out and looks for emotional weak women to have sex with and moves on to the next one. He gets them drunk so they're easier to control and then goes to their place to have sex then the man tells the woman everything she wants to hear (I love you, I'll keep you safe, let me be your man) translates to "make you love me from the start" and the kicker to all of this "put this bullet right into your heart" translates to you're going to remember me when I leave which was hinted at the start of the song talking about vanishing. But in the end, they have sex and the man leaves and the woman is left right back where she started 😔. This song is probably one of Trevor's most controversial song because as i said in the beginning, all music lyrics are interpretive to each individual. I believe the message of the song is that there are horrible men and some women in some cases that go out and prowl for emotional weak ppl to have sex with to feel good about themselves. The sad thing about it all is that some of these ppl actually exist in our society. But overall I really like this song and it's in my top 10 for Trevor Something.
@jupiterrising8875 жыл бұрын

I agree, and this happens a lot in reality. People can use sex as an escapatory way to rip off from the negative emotions (the girl in this case), and someone can take advange of that (the guy in this case). It's toxic and a symbol of lack of self love, no matter who does to whom, male or female. Both parts are broken inside.

This song is like a cry for help .. when you suffer not physically but mentally, when there is no love and you want to feel, feel it in any manifestation, even in such a wrong .. sick one. I think this is what I also sometimes feel, there is something in common between us ... absolutely sure. Trevor not only touched the strings of my soul, he pulled them out completely, all six, as if he was holding my heart vein in his hand and felt how it was pulsing. It's so sad and so true at the same moment. I do not want to cry, I feel that this is the truth, he revealed to me to myself.

I think that the song is just based on a one night stand, the girl was looking for a new love, but the guy vanished, it was a night stand after all. The "bullet" could have multiple meanings: either he being another one to break her heart or him being another "love" for her (I was kinda thinking of The Beatles's song "Happiness is a warm gun"). That's what I think. Anyway great song 😍
