I met him without knowing who he was in circumstances completely outside the gymnastics world, months later I found out and all I can say is, he's one of the most humble, sweet, caring and generous (he does a lot of social work) people I met.

I know you'll hate me for what I'm about to say, but still, I don't mind, this exercise is what is known as "text book", artistic gymnastics, "picture perfect" and it's true that occasionally some may say, this looks mannered, I disagree with that notion, but that's my opinion, as you see here in this video, good extensions of the arms and legs, good posture, hard skills, and pointed toes, in my opinion, this was excellent!

I agree whole heartedly, there was that All Around Optionals Women's 96, where Amanda Borden didn't have a 10 value beam routine, but with her being so confident & no balance checks, they should've just awarded the girl a 10. these judging spectators can take a shotgun blast up the ass, cause these deserving athletes that put their body parts on the line in every practice deserves recognition when they do the outstanding...

.1 - legs apart in front flip .1 - small hop after double full .1 - slight bend in the legs as he arches the front full side .1 - legs apart on the dismount front flip these are the standards we live up to now. before they were more lenient.

damn...i wish he had a different last tumbling pass and some kind of strength move like a planche or press or something, but he was freaking amazing...the first and last tumbling passes were freaking outstanding...i just wished that there was a little more variety in his tumbling...like a double twisting double layout...ooo...that would be nice...

Well: he didn't score a perfect 10 -- even though that system was still in operation, back then. Think of it this way: 9.85 may be lenient, from our standards; but back inthe 1980's, he likely would have been awarded a 10.00.

Υπηρξε καποια ρηξη μεταξυ τους -διοτι οταν επεσε χρημα μετα τους Ολυμπιακους της Ατλαντα κ το χρημα αλλοτριωνει...Δεν γνωριζω ποιος ευθυνεται...Ο Καπνιδης νομιζω πηρε υψηλη θεση στην ομοσπονδια...Ειναι κριμα διοτι μαζι περασαν τα πετρινα χρονια κ δεχτηκαν αγριο κυνηγι απο τον τοτε ΣΕΓΑΣ του Στρατου Μολυβα(πριν την ιδρυση ξεχωριστης Γυμναστικης Ομοσπονδιας).Για ενα διαστημα ο Καπνιδης προπονουσε τον Μελισσανιδη αμισθι ως απολυμενος κ με επιμονη του Μελισσανιδη επαναπροσληφθηκε. ΑΚολουθησε το μεταλλιο κι ο πυρετος της δημοσιοτητας... Καπου εκει ηρθε η ρηξη κι ο μελισσανιδης απεςυθυνθηκε στον Κασσιολα. Δυστυχως ομως ουτε ο Καπνιδης ανεδειξε αλλον αθλητη σε προσωπικο επιπεδο ουτε ο Μελισσανιδης προχωρησε ως θα του αξιζε...Ειχε σοβαροτατους τραυματισμους κ δεν ξερω αν ευθυνεται ο Κασιολας λογω τεχνικης ή απλα η κακοτυχια... I'll give you that, it's a low blow & pretty adolescent thing to do but if he were a block head looking jock I would have insulted him just the same. Absolutely nothing I just wanted to insult him anyway possible and he looks very feminine so I just added that in when I saw him prance around like an idiot when he supposedly won. I did this because if he had any class he would have agreed that Li Xiaoshuang should have won not him. I don't care how hard I work at something, I would never accept a prize in a competition that I didn't deserve!
