This video saved me on my 3UR. One question, when I did timing it was hard to see the knock points in the video for bank 2. On bank 1 it seemed they were 3 and 45 degrees but bank 2 seemed to be aligned? Also, my engine runs very smooth, no noise, but I'm getting a P0393 error. I had a couple of stalls and a whining noise coming from my throttle body. Ever seen this as part of this repair?

Check socket and harness from camshaft sensor. They use to break from the socket pin side exactly from the clip.

@@Apokatan.autotech ended up being a loose connection on the throttle body connector and a broken wire on the camshaft sensor. Fixed now and works well!

What is the purpose of putting the crankshaft to cam gear chain to the after tdc mark and putting the small chain to the tdc mark. All information i can find is both chains to the on tdc mark. Thanks

You have to pass the two main chains and don't lose the marks. Is complicated and I can explain. Just watch carefully everything and give attention to extra marks that I have put. Thanks....

Hello my friend... The timing process is exactly the same no any difference except the capacity of the engines. They belong to UR family. The same is with 1gr and 2gr the first is 4L and the second 3.5L. In your own case 1ur 4.6L and 3ur 5.7L. Thank you....

You have to use the marks indipent which bank you are using.

when you turn the engine, the passenger side tensioner/guard is moving, but on the driver side the chain stays tight. Is this correct?

If the tensioners are empty they are showing you that they are reversing but and passenger side and drivers. In your case maybe the one that is on passenger maybe is bad or the drivers still have oil. Crosscheck and be careful with what you will observe before any further action.

@@Apokatan.autotech No, I am saying- In YOUR video, at 19:12, the passenger side chain is moving around when you turn the engine with the crankshaft. The tensioner is moving. BUT, no movement of tensioner on drivers side. Is this normal.

@@Apokatan.autotech no, driver side not moving, look at 20:22. Mine is doing same thing when i turn engine. Passenger side main tensioner moves and goes up and down. But the driver side main tensioner does NOT move when i turn the engine
