Incredible fly Hans. Clever use of just the one CDC feather. Very well tied and explained. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Hans. I got to see how effective this pattern is, last spring, when a friend introduced me to the pattern. Remarkably effective fly, for such a simple pattern. Nice tip about tying in the hackle at a right angle.

Once again thank you Mr. Weilenmann. I love you tying style and how you present the methods for tying in your videos. I'm going to sit down and tie some of these right now.

I am loving this fly Hans. Very simple and yet it looks deadly to me.. can't wait to try some of these on the vise and then the water. Looking forward to this coming season.

Thanks for another great video. You have really inspired me to use more CDC in some of my tying. I think the brookies will love this one. Thanks again and Take Care... Tony

Dear Hans, it tied slightly different, but the same fly is known in Italy as ARPO and it is usually tied by a famous angler Angelo Piller. Who has created this first? does not matter it's a deadly weapon in many situations. Will try to tie it your way. Thanks follow this link www.ffcnews.it/?p=1048

Hi , does it float well?
@HansWeilenmann5 жыл бұрын
Hallo patoche 34, The IOBO Humpy floats as well as any CDC pattern. It floats well when dry, it sinks when soaked/slimed up. While it is a low floating pattern, the upright ‘wing’ makes it very visible on the water. Regards, Hans W
