I cannot believe no one on Nigerian government or dangotes people didn't figure out way ahead of time that more than 50% of nigerias output will go to that one refinery. Nigeria oil is highly prized because of its high quality so it is to be expected that Europe will want to continue importing Nigerian crude. This should have been figured out and legislated as soon as the refinery came on stream.

So it’s ok for Africa to send hordes of ships to Europe daily for over 4 decades to buy petrol, but Europe cant do the same now that Africa can refine on its own? Or what are you saying?
@AudaxLwekamwa-kt6egАй бұрын
Stop being stupid, being ahead of time basing on the matter u talking about that means your well upstair. Am sorry How can it be okay to send/sell the crude to Europe and buy the poor/low quality petrol! At the same time selling the same crude to the home company and buy a quality petrol be a bad thing 💔

The legislation stating priority for local refinery supply ahead of export is already there

Dangote is experiencing what airpeace had experienced. These multinationals don't want us to developed that's why Ajakuta steel will never see the light of the day. Unfortunately they have the connivance of unpatriotic Nigerians in nnpc

The problem is these companies can’t rob the nation with the help of some citizens.

Refusing supply him with crude, refusing to issue license and refusing to pay for their stake at the refinary so as to sabotage his financial plan by distrupting his cash Flow. Nigeria will continue to suffer because of conflict of interest.

Africa should never export its raw resources without adding value to it. Nigerian government if need be will have to terminate any extractive contract with any IOC That feels a foreign refiner is more important to them than African refiner. We are no longer slaves, is Dangote taking up the crude from them for free? Dangote refinery has to work for him to pay tax to Nigerian economy and keep Nigerian engineers employed for redistribution of wealth to benefit the economy also. Those refinery in Amsterdam the IOCs attached importance to are they employing African youths? This only goes to unravel those who have sabotaged PH/warri/kaduna refineries all these years despite all the billions spent by successive governments to make them work for over 40 years. They don’t want to supply crude to them so they bribe Nigerian officials operating the refineries to spoil them. The guest here is economical with the truth. Whatever excuse the IOCs may have cannot explain why Nigeria has to export its premium crude and import adulterated fuel for its domestic consumption. It’s simply unacceptable. Dangote is fighting these mafias on behalf of Africa at large! The end of a long jolly ride is here.

The Federal government needs to prioritize the needs of indigenous companies e.g Dangote Refinery etc from IOC's in the oil sector or any other local companies in other sectors. This is the only way to encourage FDI in industrialization and not mining of our natural resources, exclusively for export, which in turn provides more secure jobs for people in Nigeria. A sensible government protects local companies and implements a quota system in foreign trade, as a way to grow organically, this method works in the EU countries, as a deterrent tool against any foreign base companies from taking over their local market, local jobs, and which leads to frequent decline in the country GDP. I hope this current government will implement this tool and imprison anyone who acted against the law, then we will start seeing a positive movement towards the proposed industrialization of the country. I keep wondering, why the Nigerian Government is so inefficient and useless, yet the political class is comfortable. You claim you are not being respected by the Europeans or anywhere. You will NEVER get that respect until you are running a progressive economy, which you can only get by giving opportunities to the younger generation, they build the economy and you get respected over their collective effort, SO THINK ABOUT THIS.

All these IOCS and their operations need to work with Dangote or be vanquished/neutralized lawfully. If they want to compete let them build and produce locally. It is much better and healthier for the local economy in the long run. Protect Dangote, it will benefit Nigeria, West Africa and Africa much better in the long run.

Immediately his refinery is ready, he then rmber that imported products are dirt .. He expect people import license to be revoked so he will be the only one selling ... Greedy man

Rubbish talks. What do you mean by violence in the Niger Delta Region. This is currently one of the safest region in Nigeria. It is so disappointing seeing a professor talks this way without any fact.
