Funny story time! When I was in Uni, we have a lot of Japanese homestay programs and a bowl in Bruneian (my native tongue) is callled mangkuk so just imagine their faces when we told them to "ambil mangkuk (take the bowl)" The girls especially was super shocked and yes, we kinda forgot about it...I mean where in the conversations would we even use "mangkuk"?! Oh, as for cincin, we also have a traditional snack called "kuih cincin" which the guys found funny 😂
