I am still struggling to understand how a people that call themselves Ashkenazi Jews could be referred to as Esau. Can somebody please enlighten me? I see in Gen 10 in the table of nations where Ashkenaz is listed as one of the sons of Japheth. This inference is somehow extended to Romans as well. This is my first challenge. The other one is the one where Hamites apparently sold the Hebrews to slave owners. This somehow suggests that those of us that remain on the continent are all Hamites. What confuses me here is that it appears Judah (1/12 sons) was scattered (transatlantic slavery). Where are the other 11? We all know that chart has NO basis in history or scripture.

I know I'm REALLY late and you probably already know now but still, Judah was not the only one who was sold off, Judah, Benjamin, and Levi were sold off as well (as well as many of the other tribes); if you are in America, western (and I think eastern) Europe, Then you are either Judah, Levi, or Benjamin. Also the people in Isreal do indeed call themselves Jews, as well as the Ashkenazis.
