Hi, everything was broken down so beautifully! I have some questions concerning verses about the Abomination (Daniel 8:12-14). What does “by reason of transgression” mean in v. 12 and what does “the transgression of desolation” mean in v. 13. Lastly, in v. 14 (in the text lesson) you subtracted 2,300 days from 1260 days to get 1040 for the days of the animal sacrifice - i’m kind of confused on why you did that. Sorry for the super long question, trying to gain insight.

@ Lover_ ofChrist Reason of Transgression & Transgression of Desolation are one in the same. It means this: The only people who are allowed to do Animal sacrifice are the sons of Levi, the Priest. Esau is not Israel, neither are they Levites or Priests. What they will do at that time is a great sin. The last Pope will put an end to it not because it is sin, but because of the outcry against animal sacrifice. The Abomination of Desolation (The Last Pope) will go to Jerusalem to stop the daily sacrifices that Esau will be doing there in the 3rd Temple. We took the number of days to cleanse the sanctuary and subtracted the number of days for the Tribulation (1260), which gives us 1040 days that Esau will be allowed to do animal sacrifice before it is stopped by the last Pope. 2300 Days to Cleanse the Sanctuary -1260 Days of Tribulation (3 ½ years) = 1040 Days of Animal Sacrifice Hope this helps. Peace, We use the name Jesus because it is the name that was given to Mary from God through Gabriel. Understand, all of us will be judged by what is written in the words of the BIBLE.
