I love Philip, but I would like enlightenment as to what makes a good DSL for the blockchain (or a good library of types), as opposed to just a blank general purpose language.

hmm. banks are not using haskel tbh. mostly c++/java/c#. Maybe some dabble in scala but by and large they use non functional programming languages because that is where most of the expertise lies right now.

When I look it up I see where Haskell is popular & even favored by banking. And lots of jobs available, that's good.

@@charleshoskinsoncrypto It's still extremely niche though. There isn't much haskell expertise out there so by and large banks aren't using it. Granted Standard Chartered is an exception here. I think the work you guys are doing over at IOHK is great for haskell and functional programming in general and that is probably where you'll see increased adoption.
