I picked up an alpha steel 10 inch this winter for a solid price of $620 Canadian. I like the auger. It’s my first electric. I spent a week on lake of the woods with it punching through 22-30 inches of ice during March break. It was great.

I highly suggest the ion quick release. Good to transport and timing for changing of flightings. Great video man.

I find that thing takes away from the torque. Great idea but not ideal when dealing with hard ice. The loss of strength from a moving part east actually crazy. Never will I ever buy that attachment again.

Should have used the gen 3, 8" Bit. Much more aggressive angle on the blades, the gen 2 8 inch doesn't come close.

s there a bit of wobble where the auger attaches to the drill? I was looking at one at fleet farm yesterday and it seemed a little wobbly. Maybe the screw wasn't tight.

No even if you tighten the screw it’s still wobbly. It’s the way it first and that little wobble is enough to jam it and it stops. It sucks but it does I find. They need to find a better solution for the quick release
