No, it actually wasn't. And I had a young, strong man helping me out. It was in there good and tight. Which would be great if it never had to be replaced…..!

drop it like 1-2 cm from the ground a few times and it will magically slide out

Raul, I can't explain how it works in stereo but you do get both "channels" out of this one speaker. I grew up in the boom box era so it is rather amazing to me. It cost $85 to ship it out here so there is nothing else like it on the beach. It is fun being top dog

I want to mod it for stereo by adding two horn tweeters on the side. i hope it works.

Christine, I had to drop it on a mattress on it's a side a few times for it to come loose. I bought the battery on Amazon and they sent it fully charged. Just type in the model and there should be several options an Amazon

This was the fix for me!! Thank you. The original battery still works like a champ after securing the connections. The positive side was the very loose side. The negative side appeared to have been overheated. Electrical techs I am sure can explain this. Saved me at least $30 not to mention the unneeded waste of a perfectly good battery. Poor Chinese workmanship - too bad. I see you upgaded to a 9 AH battery. Is it a UPG - UB1290? Thank you so much!!

To add on my comment the unit gets as loud at 122.1 dBa but at that point your getting distortion. But here a handy tip to reduce distortion and get a louder speaker. Reduce as much bass as possible the less the bass the louder you can play your music. If you ever tired planting it through the radio it never distorts because radio stations purposely decrease the bass for more crystal clear music.

I am having the same issue with my Power Glo 200 speaker. It won't hold a charge, and I only get two bars instead of three bars. I think I may need a battery replacement. Thanks for your help.

I recommend getting a 10ah battery to maximize play back. My gripe is that it's lead acid battery if you drain it then your screwed. What I also had is that the 8" woofer is the primary driver that means your highs mids & lows all go through that one driver. That means in simple terms distortion beyond 50% volume. The speaker is only 50 watts which is way WAY under powered. This unit should at least be 100 watts.

Going through the same problem my speaker sounds very low, where can I order the battery, thanks so much for this it helps a lot

Amazon is best place to get a replacement don't go to radio shack or other stores you shouldn't be paying more than $25 for a 10ah battery.

Wondering how you removed the battery from the unit as it is secured pretty snuggly in there.
@UrAvgRasian8 жыл бұрын
Once you remove the battery plate lean it on its side and hit it. Not hard but hard enough to make a thud. The battery will slowly slide out.

My battery measures 12.6 vdc. The 3 green LEDs AND the red one are all lit when the power cord is disconnected. I thought maybe the inline fuse was bad on the red wire, but doubt it now since the LEDs are lit. If the fuse was bad how would the LEDs get current to light ? I will test the battery under load, but any ideas if its the battery or what ?BTW how to get the battery cover off: take a piece of coat hanger and with pliers bend the end up a little. It will fit in the 6 screw holes. Go around all of the screw holes inserting the coat hanger and lift up slightly. Keep going around and it will come out. Another possibility: use a suction cup from Harbor Freight. Also the handy little coat hanger wire can be used to get the battery out too. Just insert it on one side with the little bent tip under the battery and lift. Then go to the other side and do the same. Keep doing this, alternating sides, and eventually the battery will lift out high enough for you to grab it. When you replace the battery, make sure per the video you put a ribbon around the battery so you can lift it out next time easier.What give with my battery ? The unit works fine when plugged in BTW, but not on battery power even though the battery shows 12.6VDC.

there's a fuse above the load plug. Also another one on the negative whire of the battery, try checking these first, if you're lucky replacing these should do the trick ;)
