I have the perfect setup for the water to air intercooler. Used a 2.5 gallon fuel cell and mounted it in front of the passenger front tire then plumbed it directly to the intercooler pump and then the outlet from the heat exchanger. You will be able to control your IATs much better and have the option to run ice in it as well

Gotta get that stock pulley off of that. Couple hundred bucks lands you 280-300 whp 2.6 or 2.7, 80s, e85.

Be interesting to see what they'll do next to it. Prolly the typical header, larger diameter exhaust, cai, smaller pulley, and retune. I honestly don't think it'll reach their 330fwhp mark but it'll be close. Maybe a port the stock blower or upgrade to larger blower or go tvs. That is if the trans/clutch lasts that long. Id buy a raffle ticket to own this redline!

Having an SRT-4 Neon as a daily, I can say I want this car just because I think it's neat. Being in CT though means pretty much nowhere sells e85.

Glad I didn't do e85 on my ion redline doesn't seem worth the cost or harm.

E85 is far better for engine components with the only draw back needing more frequent oil changes. There’s only benefits

That's not too shabby with a 3.35" diameter pulley. Get to a 2.8" and you'll see better results from the added timing.

We also found out the intercooler pump was wired backwards and not functioning. It will go back on the dyno soon

@@TheBayAreaRacing, that's a common problem. Throw some NGK 4644 plugs gapped at 0.035 in there while you're at it. Check the heat exchanger and make sure it's properly bled. Bleeder is on the passenger side. It helps to remove the headlight. You'll find best power by setting MBT at about 4,400-4,600, then ramping it slightly to redline. No need to pull to higher than 7,000 with the M62 and stock cams. It runs out of breath. Anything over 25 degrees is just a waste, even on corn.

The most power you'll ever see on an honest dyno with an M62 2.7 Pulley / 80's / E85 setup 100% stock motor is 280whp +/- DynoJets are notorious for reading higher

You'll see about 320-330whp stock LSJ w/ 80's & E85 on a 2.9 pushing around 19-20 psi Anything more requires a built head Keep an eye on the Ecotec groups as you'll sometimes get lucky and find a 1320 used for around $1000-1500 Easiest way to make power is to go turbo ZZP sells budget kits for a great price making 300-400whp

Saw 500 on my 04 ION with Nitrous and evey bolt on imaginable! Then swapped to a C2 ProCharger head unit pulled different felt like a Nitrous car. Should of never of sold it! My 06 is stock daily. But clean whip!
