Ionia is a quintessential East Asia fantasy land with a ton of monastic orders of all kinds (Because everyone seems to serve balance in their own way). Also beastfolk, who are though also very much present in East Asian mythologies.

Ionians are equivalent to Asia so yeah Karma is similar Indian Ahri is a gumiho inspire and Gumiho is not Kitsune and gumiho is korean. Yasua is japanese based Akali and other ninja are japan based but since Ionia is like mixed names so some ninja have chinese names in common. With bonus Ionian(asian) from outside the Ionia. Marcus, finn metal jaw guy, and Caitlyn(mixed ionan father is mixed ionian if you saw the pictures in the arcane scene you saw her ancestor s are more asian looking). My guess is Zeri and Seraphine are both Ionian decent With zeri the natural bron electric girl and Seraphine is like she can hear voices from hextech and hextech are like Magic magic Technology also Seraphine is confirmed to be equivalent Chinese and zeri is like neon a filipina agent from valorant

Love these vids, man! League's lore and worldbuilding has always been fascinating to me, although it was too overwhelming for me to delve deeper. These vids make me realize how much deeper Runeterra gets with different cultures, lineages, etc!

So I very briefly searched for Runeterra lore on youtube and within a few seconds of the videos I've determined that you are simply good at this. The lore is awesome, sure...but you make it that much more enjoyable. Thanks again. With that said, Runeterra lore vs game synergy. I reached out to Snnuy in the comments on his latest post. I asked for a Blais/Snnuy colab video since he's trying to do more than just gameplay. I'm mainly interested in the synergy one might be able to find in Legends of Runeterra but it would be interesting to know how lore knowledge might help in any Runeterra game.

Excellent as always, however one thing: Udyr is from the Freljord, he went to Ionia to train to control his rage and animal/monk powers (also he might be Sejuani's dad). Love these videos, grats on 9k Subs!

That’s exactly right! The Hirana monastery is where he learned to control those instincts (mostly). The Spirit Guard picture is meant to illustrate what he would have looked like had he remained at Hirana!

I could be totally wrong as I haven't read anything about runeterra but from what I understand from this video. Yordles don't play a big role on the noxus invasion of ionia. In my head I for some reason imagined Yordles are like the gods of ionia. Been loving the videos would love to learn more about bilgewater next!

In the video you said Swain bonded with Raum before returning to Noxus, but wasn't Raum imprisoned within the immortal bastion and Swain formed the pact in Noxus which was part of his coup to become grand General.

My intention here wasn’t to imply that Raum and Swain shake hands in Ionia, but Swain is essentially given a vision after getting his arm cut off that shows him that Leblanc used Darkwill to essentially get Swain killed. You are correct that he does not finalize a bond with Raum until he is back in Noxus, at which point he’s still crippled from his encounter with Irelia. It’s something we’ll be covering more in depth in the upcoming Noxus long-form! Apologies for any confusion!
