sol for the hw question:- ZNS - Zn+ S- s(solubility) = 0.97g/l which we will convert to moles per litre 0.97/97= 0.01 or 1*10^-2 ksp for the above dissociation = [s][s] = s^2 = 10^-4 Zn(No3)2 -- Zn+ No3- here 2 moles of zn(no3)2 is given to find concentration = 2moles/5litre = 0.4moles/L ksp = [0.4+s']s' 0.4s'= 10^-4 s'= 10^-4/0.4 s' = 2.5*10^-4

Solubility of ZnS in water moles per litre mein 0.01M aayegi. Than Ksp find kroge toh 10-⁴ aayegi. If we mix 2 moles of Zn(No3)2 in 5 litres of solution That means 2 moles Zn²+ in 5 litre = 2/5 = 0.4 M of Zn²+ ZnS= zn²+ (S+0.4M) +. S²- (SM) Ksp= (s+0.4) (s) 10-⁴ =( s+0.4)(s) In s+0.4 ..s is small so neglected. Therefore we will only consider 0.4 not s+0.4 Now S= 10-⁴/0.4 = 2.5×10-⁴

Put this value in first equation in place of s..we get ksp=10^-4 Now we know that nitrates are highly soluble so.. all zn come from zn(no3)2 .. now new ksp ={s•+0.4} {s} Here neglect {s•} so after solving this by putting value of ksp=10^-4 in eqn 2 we get the value s=2.5×10^-4 Hope you understand 😐👍😊
