Great video showed everything very well with lighting, unlike other videos with poor lighting and shaky camera....:) I wanted to see more of those string wire mechanisms which in my case broke off and I couldn't figure out how its intact and how can I fix it.

I have the amateur version of the Ionic Breeze from Sharper Image. It's good, but not good enough to go "pro" I guess. It has beads that slide on the strings so you just turn it upside down and back a few times to clean the wires when it starts making the sizzling sound. Eventually that will no longer work and you'll need to use compressed air to clean it as well. But it takes quite awhile. The one I use is over thirty years old. Still works fine as long as it's clean.

Actually sharper image is the OG! The ionic pro by envion is a cheap knockoff. I have both brands and the SI consitently collects more.

@@daniels7862 The Ionic Breeze is discontinued. Mine stopped working after 20 years . Have you noticed that he ionic breeze emits an odor? To me it smells metallic which I find pleasant. I was wondering if the knock off does too.

@@Orlanzepol123 that smell is called ozone. In small amounts it kills odors and is safe to breathe. SI got alot of bad press from consumer reports, then sued, lost, and could never recover. I’ve used them on and off for years and never noticed negative health effects. I would try to find a used SI unit. Ionic pro brand is inferior in quality and performance. They all emit some ozone. That’s that nature of ionic based systems, although many, including SI, came out with a metal grate material that further reduces ozone.

It may be time to get a new one my friend. .it should be very quiet after the servicing. .hope you let it all dry for a day or 2 before putting it back together and plugging it in or you will fry it..

Umm, i have the same unit, took it apart, cleaned it out, now the buttons on the top zap ya.. Its like a plasma ball, not enough to hurt ya but ya feel it, any idea what it is? I work with fixing electronics so im not a stranger to stuff like this, thats why im finding it a little odd... Im going to open it back up to see if something didnt seat right. Ill check back.

No i didnt get it wet, i took it apart like 2 yrs ago and cleaned it, then the zappy thing started so its just been sitting unused since. Decided to take another look at it. Now its doing this...so i dont know.

A purifier with hepa and air cleaner are 2 different things.. are you using it for bacteria, smoke, or what? Me personally I love the ionic pro products ..you can buy these things really cheap at second hand stores and all they need is cleaning.

Replaceable filters is expensive to keep up and they go bad...this type of electric filter is cleanable and reusable can last years

Just a note the Ionic air cleaner has tiny screws holding the sides together. I missed that in the video.

It usually has lights for the on and off . It pisses when it gets dirty. It will stop operating if it is too dirty. They usually last for many many years if you take care of them. Clean it about once a month and it should last a lifetime..I have several of them all different years

Daniel Franco be very careful with all parts and note each step with disassembling main housing. Can be very tricky putting it back together. Also, make sure you definitely have it unplugged. I know it’s probably a given but it can ruin your day if your not familiar with electronics. This is high volts
