I'm actually more interested now in your vim configuration xD. Do you have your dotfiles available? And: nice work. Ionic is great for my project.

I am trying to understand how/where to place routes which are public outside of the IonRouterOutlet component (not requiring a side menu, etc.)

Flutter added desktop and web support, Does this effect ionicframework ?
@MaxLynchMan4 жыл бұрын
Flutter's web support is not anywhere close to Ionic's web support. Ionic supports platform standards and browser features, can be static and server side rendered, and can be deployed in incredibly small web bundles depending on the framework used with it. Flutter, in contrast, has had to implement even copy/paste from scratch. That and needing to ship a massive amount of code in order to support their custom environment, and it's anything but a legitimate web option for teams. Flutter takes an incredibly similar approach to Flash or even Famous (remember that?).

@@MaxLynchMan As an ex Flutter/Dart developer, I absolutely agree 100%, and I'd add my experience, too. First, Google made an enormous mistake not to pick TypeScript vs Dart, Dart is a brilliant language, but not better at all than TypeScript. Flutter is only fo mobile devices, forget it as desktop and browser. Smart watches are excluded, too. With IONIC you can build web apps even for Samsung Galaxy Watch. Interestingly, we have recently rediscovered JQuery Mobile (hibernated in 2014), it works brilliantly with TypeScript, dead simple, gorgeous looking, brutally small footprint and performant. Theme Roller is so much fun. My team loves both IONIC/React and JQM, both used with TypeScript, of course. No way we'd be going back to Flutter.
