I'll be honest, all I have ever done was to empty it and "knock it" against something to empty it. Honestly, I'm not sure if that would impact it or not.

Mine had a USB-C port on the vacuum itself that I plugged the cord into my phone block, or I also used a cigarette plug adapter.

Is the cord that you charge the vacuum with a standard size? Would I be able to charge the vacuum with the same battery pack I use to charge my phone with or do I need a special battery pack, used specifically for the vacuum only?

Great question! Sorry I didn't include that info!! It is a USB to C type mini USB. Works fine with the battery pack I have! So should be a good fit for yours as well!
