My favorite improvement in 16.1 is one that I haven’t seen anyone mention and involves iMessage. If you want to delete a message in 16.0 you get two options, “Report as Junk” and “Delete” at the bottom. Several times I’ve accidentally reported as junk due to force of habit with it being the first choice. 16.1 changed that to “Delete” at the top and “Delete and Report as Junk” at the bottom. This makes much more sense overall. I just had to downgrade to 16.0.2 due to CarPlay issues and MySubaru app not working in beta 4 and the iMessage change is honestly the biggest thing I miss.

My iPhone 13 has the WiFi dropping issue a lot. Plus losing cellular and WiFi is still a chronic problem. Apple needs to get this connectivity problems fixed asap. And yes the battery life absolutely sucks.

After upgrading to ios 16 i notice the battery drain so fast, so i decided to downgrade to ios 15.7 which is still signed and definitely does not have battery drain issue, i am using iphone 13 pro max.

Something you missed is that the silent switch now has a dynamic island animation in landscape orientation! Before nothing would happen when you flip the switch

I have not yet received my iPhone 14 Pro Max, so I’m still using my 13 Pro Max, and for the past week I’ve noticed significant issues regarding connectivity. -Messages is repeatedly failing to send both SMS and MSM, particularly when texting to group chats. I haven’t noticed this with iMessage. A network reset and phone reboot have little to no effect.

Does anyone not do DFU restore anymore ?? These problems can be easily fixed with a dfu clean restore of iOS 16 I have an iPhone 14 pro max the only issues I have is that it sometimes lock up on lockscreen with always on display and UI lags when closing out of apps I’m on iOS 16.0.2 , I don’t have a problem with battery life everything is much much stable and solid

I have 16.1 Beta 4 on my iPhone 13 Mini. I have not had any real issues. Sometimes I lose Bluetooth connectivity with mainly my Fitbit. Otherwise, it has been working well. Battery life seems fine on the 13 Mini. I was charged fully at 6 am. It's now 10:45 and I have 91%, and I was at the gym for 2 hours streaming music and connected to my Fitbit. So I don't really have a problem with battery.

I have been having issues with spatial audio with my airpod max. Issues started after i upgraded my phone to ios 16 from ios 15.7. Since then I have been upgrading to each of ios 16.1 betas ( hoping it would have been fixed in it ) and the issue is still present. I am currently using the latest beta I.e iOS 16.1 beta 4. When it is in head tracked mode It randomly switches to fixed mode even though it shows as head tracked . Toggling to fixed and then headtrack again does not change anything. The only way to get the head tracking is by reconnecting the AirPod max ( settings -> blue tooth -> my devices (airpod max) -> click connected , and move your head ) or reconnect the Bluetooth again. I have noted mostly when track of song changes or after I wear my airpod max again to continue after my previous listen. It also continues to have the issue when I play KZbin videos etc . The head tracking option does not work and only way is as I mentioned to reconnect etc. In iOS 15.7 I did not have these issues. There is also an issue of playing with loud volume when I wear airpod max again after prev listen with normal volume. But this volume if I remember was also there in prev iOS version but it was not happening as frequently. Any one else having these issues.? I wish i had not upgraded to ios 16 so soon as i can't go back to 15.7.

Headphone issues. Going from phone/speaker to one AirPod the audio transitions. Putting the 2nd pod in my ear either a.) kills audio completely or b.) never connects to the 2nd pod. Only resolution is to close the app and restart it. Considering it occurs across several apps (KZbin, SiriusXM, Spotify, the Amazons) leads me to believe it is an iOS issue. This occurs probably 4 out of 10 times with the audio drop 70% and 2nd pod not connecting 30%.

I was not able to connect a new Apple Watch with the iOS16 beta on my iPhone. They initially thought it was the refurbished watch that was not able to connect. Then I bought a new version 8 and the same issue remains. It says my watch needs and update (it doesn’t) and looks for an update and says my watch is up to date but doesn’t advance any further. Even starting with a new watch won’t connect. Now Apple wants to scrub my phone and start clean since it’s been months since last not having the beta profile on my phone. They removed the beta profile but that isn’t enough. Anyone else with this issue? I’m not all all happy to have to start over. This may be the end for me using beta profiles.

I’m running iOS 16.0.2 on my iPhone 12, and I’ve also noticed the occasional lag in the haptic feedback for the keyboard. It works perfectly if I’m typing an email or text message in the Mail or Messages app. I’ll notice the lag if I’m in those apps while I also have a video playing using picture-in-picture or if I’m responding to a text message quickly in the lock screen. Hopefully iOS 16.1 fixes this.

Hey Aaron. I’m pretty upset with the click bait on the still frame image for this video… are those additional widgets you were able add on the Lock Screen (like we’ve all been wanting so badly)? Or is that some sort of a graphic you’ve overlaid to reference the 16.1 launch? Normally love & watch every video of yours but you did not mention those lock screen widgets once in the entire video (either real or fake) so that was very frustrating.

How can I fix the big problem but I have for the first time with voice control Siri and this voice control blue screen that I'm getting all the time interrupting all of my programs everything. Is this a major glitch in my program because I've never had this problem with my iPhone before.
