I am on 17.0.3 on my 15 Pro Max 256 GB Variant. I noticed some of the newer notification tones are low in volume. Hoping 17.1 fixes that. No other issues recorded here. Thank you Aaron for your hard work!

From Norway and been using Apple Maps exclusively for about a year. It has improved a lot lately and especially when it's no longer dependent on the iOS updates to get new information or functionality. The suggested routes and information about road work or closed roads is surprisingly more accurate than Google Maps more often than not.

Wife is running 17.0.3 on her 15 Pro Max without issue. If there is, she’d have told me. I’m running 17.1 Beta 3 and have had no issues that I am aware of. Cool video Aaron!

Not everyone’s experiences, identical, but there’s a few things that are pretty major that are happening. For example, my wife’s alarm works fine, but the one on my daughters phone does not. No reason why.

@@zollotech I agree. Very weird with those specific phones. When mine first started the “restore backup from cloud”, her phone did get hot and battery was having issues charging, but after she updated to 17.0.3, she seemed to be fine. Such a weird glitch.

Every year I do a clean install and start my new iPhone as “New.” All Contacts, iMessages, Photos, Music data all transfer over to the new iPhone through your iCloud automatically. The only things you need to download again is Apps, but it helps with keeping the ones you use and not redownloading the ones you don’t really use anymore. I prefer starting fresh and you don’t have to deal with overheating issues as the new iPhone doesn’t have to download all the data from your last iPhone. I find less issues as a whole.

I get overheating and battery drain listening to podcasts on 17.0.3, didn't happen on previous versions. Hope they fix it with 17.1 because it's really terrible.

I'm on 17.0.3 with iPhone 13 mini. One thing I've found is that the horizontal clock when place on my mag charger is kind of buggy. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Otherwise no issues with how I use my phone.

Display brightness drops to zero randomly. Cannot reproduce it. It is not app dependent. It not only happens with general use but also happens when unlocking the phone and again whether with FaceID or with password. This goes back to iOS16 (sometime in the last half of the year)

Thank you for talking about the alarm issue. I spoke to Apple about this as my phone made me late for work after the alarm repeatedly didn’t go off. I didn’t realise this was related to a late night reboot. Apple implied they hadn’t heard of this issue happening to anyone else so I’m glad to hear I’m not alone!

Hopefully they also completely fix the heat problem with this update. Seems like my iphone has gotten warmer, since the update 17.0.3. Wouldnt say it over heats but it does get warm even when Im not using it or doing simple tasks. Something that didnt really happen before the update.

I thought ios 16 was the worst, but this one wow.. since i got my iphone 15 pro max a bunch of issues, airdrop, phone apps freezing, not loading apps, wifi not working sometimes.. crazy hope 17.1 fixes that

I downloaded iOS 17.1 beta 3 onto my 15 pro max (iOS 17.03). Battery life has greatly improved.

I’m using 17.0.3 and the heat issues disappeared for me.. however I had the odd phone completely switching off in the middle of the night for a couple of hours and restarting. Had it once and now I don’t see this behavior anymore.. so far all is ok. Bugs will always be there no matter what OS you’re on.

Running on the latest betas on iPhone 14 Pro Max and Apple Watch Ultra. You mentioned the battery issue on the watch being fixed.. for me it’s actually caused the problem. I’m getting 6 hours battery only and won’t last the night from 100%.. also charging takes a lot longer, in fact last night it only managed to charge the watch to 77%. The first time I’ve had a big that’s caused so much grief 😢

I’m considering the same thing I hate how badly my iPhone 14 pro max battery degrade in just one year I almost lost 10% of my battery capacity I never experienced this before, and Apple refuses to say anything about it many more people experience this too so it’s a widespread thing I’m definitely keeping eye out on the 15 Pro Max if the trend continues I will not be buying a iPhone anymore until they address the battery health issues

The WiFi issues are for real on 15 Pro. Data is simply not loading, not processing. Video feeds (X, KZbin) failing to load previews. Fix is to close the app and re-open. Very annoying though for a long-time iPhone user (my iPhone 11 had none of these issues).

iPhone 15 Pro Max here on iOS 17.0.3, in regards to Notifications. My notification volume constantly sits at about 20-30%. My settings are such that I only change the media volume with my volume buttons. Yet, seemingly randomly, the notifications will play at max volume. Yesterday all throughout work every text came through at max volume. So far in the Apple Community forums there are only a few of us but so far it's only iPhone 15 Pro’s. Also I've witnessed a random reboot on my phone, but only once that I know of. Lastly, love this channel!

Kudos as always, Aaron. As for these devices and working for a major carrier, this half-baked software release situation is getting old, and causing undo stress on all of us. It’s almost like Apple is following the gaming industry; releasing incomplete or buggy software and fixing it after the fact. More disappointing, we are getting people with cracked back glass on the 15 Pro Series, colored coating on the titanium coming off from the slightest of scratches or dings, which we can’t do anything about other than send the customer to Apple. Apple’s products are becoming problematic instead of reliable, and becoming a slippery slope. The really need to get their act together…

Sometimes keyboard tickles sound comes higher - on app store you photo on the top left reloads everytime you open it - wifi name and fonts when going to settings they reappear once you open it !!

For weather/location issues with Apple watch, you have to completely reset the location and privacy settings on the iPhone, then accept location permissions on the Apple Watch for each app. That completely fixed all issues I was experiencing with it not refreshing or completely not working.

If you reset, all settings, it breaks parental control. You can no longer request more screen time.

Small issue, but the small rain complication on watchOS 10 keeps going blank, and the compass on the watch and phone seems to off at random points, including the elevation meter. Also my Lock Screen photo will show up blank when I plug in my charger, but if I turn off the display and turn it back on the photo shows back up. Also also, my phone seems to lag bad at random times on iOS 17. I’m using a first gen Ultra and an iPhone XR.

I think I have been getting pretty lucky. My 12 Pro Max has worked like a fine machine. I’ve never experienced any bugs other than the notification bug. The battery life is pretty decent and it’s an essential tool I use all day long for work and it always does pretty well with me. I’m pretty happy personally! Edit: Although I did just notice that my battery maximum capacity went from 91% before I updated to now being 89% 😂😂

13 pro and iOS 17.1. Siri does not work all the time. Sometimes she stops in the middle of reading something or providing an answer.Bug. Also with Voiceover there is abug with notification. Voiceover reads the time whenever get any type of notification. Started this bug in iOS 17.1. Is a major pain having to hear VO read the time when get notification.

Hi Aaron Been using 17.0.3 on the iPhone SE2 (my primary device) and when initially upgrading to iOS 17, I noticed a terrible battery drain and frequent overheating inspite of changing my battery in June. However, I factory reset my phone and now the battery life is extremely good, probably the best battery life and SOT I’ve experienced on this phone since buying it and the phone almost never overheats. Also there are no bugs or app crashes apart from the Notification Centre glitch but overall I am very impressed with the performance of my relatively old iPhone SE

AirPods v2 lining version is working horrible on the new firmware. Transparency custom settings have to be turned off manually each time you use them with the feature. And it goes on and off at random. Paired with a iPhone 14 pro max

imo, iOS 17 has screwed up my homekit notification sounds. The sound itself has changed and I've looked everywhere I can think of for way to change it without any luck. There have also been a few times where I won't get a notification at all.

New bug found with iPhone 14 Pro Max using 17.0.3. When I'm doing a FaceTime video call and then taking a picture using the back side cameras, it can’t go back to the FaceTime video call again. The screen gets opaque and it says that the connection has become unstable. It does that every time, not only once a while.

I don’t use apple maps in australia. Just default to google maps each time.. I am trying to remember to use apple maps recently, on the iPad when doing research about different areas. But it hasn’t changed much here so still better to use google maps.

Did they fix the issue where if you use the action button to write a note for example, while using the action button and writing the note on the lock-screen, the phone would sleep after a couple of seconds as you are writing the note.

I think the random rebooting is not random at all. Both my and my wife’s phones rebooted the same day around the same time. I think it was a security update etc. So I turned the automatic install feature off.

The last 3 mornings my Apple Watch hasn’t had an alarm to wake me up, hopefully they fix it soon.
