After updating to IOS 17.2, now 17.2.1 on my iPhone 15 Pro, the brightness bar stutters (goes up and down very fast) once im turning up the phone from the lock screen, and sometimes the brightness itself goes up and down, as well as the volume bar Before IOS 17.2 i didn’t had that issue.. It happends when auto-brightness dims the display automaticly, and the bar goes up and down to the last brightness level to the actual one you’re currently on.. kinda frustrating….

Another tip ~ Headphone Notifications: I often pair my phone with a Bluetooth receiver to listen to audio in my car (no CarPlay 😕) I need to turn up phone volume to hear on my car’s stereo. Consequently, I keep getting the headphone volume alert. To turn off this alert you have to go to Settings/ Accessibility/Audio & Visual to turn Headphone Notifications. (iPhone 14 ProMax, iOS 17.2.1)

In recent days, I am now starting to see 6-10 minutes/day of camera usage on the battery meter even when the camera is not being used. As a result, the battery is draining a bit faster than it was a month ago. This is for iOS 17.3 on an iPhone 13.

For some reason on my iohone 11 pro max all the ios updates since the last half of ios 16 up until now has been extremely buggy for me. 1st the battery, huge battery drain, then after ios 17.2.1 even the apps themselves and when using them it got extremely buggy. Totally regret updating to ios 17!in general.

Same with my 11 plus. I also get a lot of static in ear buds. Apps are jumpy and hard to close out/swipe out of. They also open all by themselves. The new update SUCKS

Have iPhone 10 using latest ios17.2.1 but on the phone in settings I cannot find live voicemail. Looking at your screen it is just before Silence Unknown Callers. Not there! Frustrating because I have found this in the past. I have now been informed that this feature is only available in the US or Canada. Not much use to me here in the third world UK! Probably a mention re these sorts of nuances with Apple when you do a presentation. Thank you👍

I’ve got an iPhone 13pro max and after reading so much about the iOS 17 updates I’m definitely sticking with my iOS 16 stuff as I have never had a problem with my phone staying on this and I’ve had my phone for 3yrs. I bought my daughter the iPhone 15pro and straight away it overheats and drains battery even on iOS 17.2. Lucky I was inside a time bracket and I’m getting a full refund on this phone cause as I can already work out the 15 series is a flop as they say no matter what updates you do.

We're starting to see power consumption issues with our iPhone 13s after updating to iOS 17.2 (we stuck with iOS 16 for as long as we could). We've seen this before with prior major updates, but the power consumption would return to pre-update state after a full charge cycle or two. Right now, we've had at least three full charge cycles, and the battery is still draining faster than before. I've checked the menus for a new feature or a previously disabled feature/option that somehow got turned on, but I'm not seeing it.

Thanks for the ideas, I’ll try to make use of them. 👍🏻 However, the 17.2 and 17.2.1 have been the worst updates for my iPhone 14. Ridiculously buggy, my contacts are not keeping the assigned ringtones even after I reset them, the phone stopped syncing to my Mac and so on. I’ve never had these kinds of issues with previous updates. 😳

17.x forward has been THE WORST on my iPhone 13, especially 17.2 and now 17.2.1. Dropped calls, zero text notifications even when sitting right there by the phone and the volume turned up, multiple missed calls or calls go straight to VM. Someone else made the comment that Apple has jumped the shark on quality and functionality and gone straight to FUN SHINY SQUIRREL. So very very disappointed right now

I dont understand number 4, if you set it to lock doesnt that mean it will lock the whitebalance you had when you were outside and then keep that same white when you go inside ? And when you dont have it locked it should change to the indoor whitebalance. Or am I getting this wrong? Your explanation for this didnt really make sense to me. The image you showed for lock on looked like it had changed compared to the outdoor white balance. But you said when it's set to lock it's not going to change through out the video. So why did it change when you went inside? The indoor image looked a bit to warm, almost orange, the rigth side image (lock off) looks better. Also you said when it's off and you're outside and you walk through the door, everything changes, so the white looks about the same on the inside, but how would it look the same on the inside when you just said everything changes ? What is it that changes if the white looks the same on the inside as it did outside ? This part sounds confusing to me.

FYI. The lock white balance isn't really for the purpose you stated. Most people don't want the yellow cast you would get the way you used it. The real purpose is to keep the phone from adjusting the white balance too often as you change the objects you are videoing either inside or outside.

I may go to Android. My iPhone 15 pro, with software updated, constantly drops Bluetooth with my car, as well as earbuds and hearing aids. It is woefully bad. Apple is not addressing the issue despite customer complaints. Instead, they concentrate on "fun" rather than the phone works. "Fun" and "easy" are not the reason to have a smartphone. "It works" is more important, and the 15 and 17.2 doesn't.
