iOS 17 - New Ringtones and Alerts

All the new default ringtones and alert sounds on iOS 17 / iPhone 15.
The defaults for ringtone and text tone is still the same - Reflection and Note. Alarms and Timers now default to Radial.
Third party apps now use Rebound for generic notification alerts, replacing Tri-Tone.
The Reflection ringtone has been remastered, and some classic alert sounds are still part of the default sounds / main page.

I’ve also heard that they tweaked the reflection ringtone in the beginning like a form of high pitch. If you pull up the iOS 16 version versus the 17 version and listen to both of them you’ll hear when I’m talking about. I don’t know why they edited the first part of the reflection ringtone, but I like these new ringtones I would have to get used to them it’s been 10 to 11 years since they did an upgrade to all the sounds and ringtones the last time it was done was iOS 7

Bro the new text tones? They are so low, you can barely hear them. I try to set one for someone, had them text me, and did not hear it. Volume was all the way up also. They need to fix that. Also, remember the text tone list that included Sonar, cricket, robot, etc? GONE. It is now in ringtones. You now have to choose whatever is there for a text tone.

They have been removed from the text tone list. They are now in ringtones. That shit makes no sense. They need to fix that.

Question, you can add your custom ringtones to your phone in IOS 17, but they are not added in the text tones, new voicemail etc....am I missing something or is it just not to be added across the board, just custome ringtones in "RINGTONES" only......is there a fix? or is this a BUG?

Custom tones are now only able to be set as the ringtone. Any text or notification tone cannot use ringtones anymore. However, I found if you create ringtones through GarageBand, you can still set them as the default text tone, but you can't change switch between custom tones anymore.

I have been in contact with Apple support, they are aware of this issue about Ringtones, hopefully it will be corrected in the next update to IOS 17, seems it's a "bug"

Since I downloaded IOS 17 I used the Radial tone as my morning alarm. It’s gentle yet effective… So imagine the heart attack I experienced when I updated my phone to 17.1 only to somehow lose Radial and default to RADAR.

@@thompson1211 i didn’t beta update today and it’s working fine again. It might be a bug with one of the updates. What I did notice was that the Radial tone was still available in the RINGTONES list, just not the ALARMS list. Something probably went weird with the alarms selections and it defaulted to Radar (a similar thing happened to me about a year ago, Radar must be the default)
