@@nickbradley yup. For most tech-people, unless there’s a significant hardware change that applies to their specific niche, then they won’t buy it, cause they already have that solution with them. The reason why I’m upgrading from a 13 pro max to a 16 pro max is the 4K-120hz video recording. I go off-road and film a lot offroad. That 4K 120hz slow motion is far better than any camcorder you can buy today that has the same storage (both hardware and cloud) features and options for slow-mo and ultra-wide shots.

The thing that gets under my skin is the fact that people think Apple has to make a drastic change to the outside of the phone. It’s the inside that matters. Every year, the phones do better and better. I couldn’t care less about the outside. The design is beautiful, and it works, so why would they change it?

I hate that Apple is forcing people to upgrade through the Apple Intelligence, saying that phones under the 15 pro DOESN'T support AI, while I have an exploited iPhone 13 with enabled Apple Intelligence spoofing the Device Model to iPhone 15 Pro on the iOS 18.1 Beta 4. On my iPhone 13, Apple Intelligence works even offline, so it is working on the A15 Chip. That demonstrates that A15 and below devices CAN support Apple Intelligence, it's just Apple forcing users to upgrade. This is so ridicolous

Don’t go for the 14 go for the 16 I know it’s more expensive but ultimately it’s worth it. It will have longer support, more features and a better battery so it’s better to just spend that extra money in the long term.

Ive had people tell me that there is no difference between 60hz and 144hz when it comes to computer monitors and its insane to me. If you've ever played geometry dash on your computer its insane how much of a different your monitors hz can make towards the gameplay. I mean some levels are literally impossible on 60hz but perfectly fine on 144.

I think the thing is that a lot of the changes aren’t like appealing to a lot of people. Not everyone is super into tech so a lot doesn’t matter to them. My biggest issue with Apple is when they list something as pro but then put it on the base model like the Dynamic Island and action button. Like you got the iPhone 14 Pro because of the Dynamic Island and then the base 15 gets it. Then the action button is a pro feature for the 15 pro then the base 16 gets it. Idk that bothers me but great video btw as well.

You left out the SE 2020 version. Mine still works great updates to 18.1 software. After 4 years battery is still at 83% health. Works great with one hand and fits in my shirt pocket. saved over $1000 compared to the 16. 💰👈👀

I have a regular iPhone 15 256 GB for work and already had a Galaxy S24 Ultra before I got the iPhone from my employer. I upgradred from the Samsung S20 Plus to S24 Ultra before and have always been an Android user. I ported my private phone number to the business phone and my employer got me a a dual sim card for both phones. These are good options for both iOS and Android, I like the compact and lightweight iPhone. It has a pretty good main camera but is lacking the telephoto options. Also Face ID is superior to fingerprint. At the moment we're getting the regular iPhone model every two years for work, so if this circle is kept up the base iPhone 17 will be next. As a benefit we can keep the old ones for free after transferring the company managed apps to the new phone and a factory reset.

iPhone 12 Pro Max user here. I don’t see the need to upgrade right now. Last year I got a 15 Pro Max but I returned it as the upgrade was not worth it to be honest. My 12 Pro Max works fine. I really liked how you showed the new features of the iPhone 16, I believe it was the most detailed video I've seen about it. However, still, I don't think Apple has really invested in this model. I expected more. And the design didn't please me, the lenses are too big. I confess that I miss the old design, with smaller cell phones and a home button. I'm using the iPhone 11 64GB and it meets all my needs. The biggest problem is at the moment is that the battery health is at 78%. For me, it would be quite an upgrade if I switched to the 14 Pro 128GB. (For context, it is important to say that here in Brazil an iPhone 16 can cost more than R$10,000).

I agree. I didn’t focus too much on the pro differences over the years, but an upgrade from an 11 to 14 pro would be significant. One of the only real downsides to the 14 is it was the last to use lightning (instead of USB-C), but if that’s not an issue I think it’s a great choice.

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I could upgrade but I don’t feel like it’s worth $1200. Like yeah it’s better but I’m just gonna get my battery and screen replaced for $400 and wait for the phone to get laggy, no updates anymore or the 2nd battery to degrade. By then iPhones will prob improve a lot more where the upgrades are a massive jump besides something that’s nice but not worth the money. Exactly, you want to get what you pay for. I know that overall after the 2-year protection plan from Walmart (I have Straight Talk so getting my phone from there) alongside the Otterbox case the total for an iPhone 15 for me will be about $1,050 including taxes as well. However, I am on an iPhone 8 Plus that’s four years old and on a 73% battery health so I know I would be upgrading majorly for the price I’d pay for when I do get the 15.

This video was more so about what features you’ll be gaining if you upgraded to an iPhone 16. But in your case, the only part of this video that doesn’t apply are the features iPhone 15 users would be getting if they upgraded to a 16. From the iPhone 14 on, the majority of those features mentioned should apply to the 15. This was my first time making a video like this, so I’ll be sure to do it for more phones in the future. The 16 is a fantastic phone, and I don’t think you’ll regret it. If you none of your other screens are 120Hz (or if they are and the 11 doesn’t bother you) you won’t have any issues with the 16. It’s the type of thing you ONLY notice when you’re used to it, and then stop using it.

ngl after a few months with the 15 i'm starting to think that i should've went with the 14 pro instead, it has the dynamic island and the telephoto lens (i honestly use the 2x zoom in my 15 more than the 0.5x so i could've benefited with the telephoto lens) and of course a white color. but hey i'm enjoying my 15 so maybe in 4 years i'll switch to the pro for telephoto 😂. i came from the 11 so the real upgrade was the camera! the back camera is waaaaay better than the 11 and the action mode is really useful, the dynamic island looks more aesthetically pleasing than the notch but i really could care less about it.

I think that's a great upgrade! It of course depends on more factors other than just the feature upgrades. How you use your phone, the current performance/battery life, and just various costs associated with upgrading should play a role in whether or not you upgrade. But if you do - you're gonna notice a difference.

In short if u have a older iphone(iphone 11 or older i wud say), upgrading to either the 13 or straight to the 16 seems like the play to me. Or if the leaks are anything to trust getting the new iphone se is a really good ides too. Depends on ur budget, personally i would say people should avoid buyinh the 12 or the 14, the iphone 12’s battery life isnt great and the iphone 14 is just the iphone 13.

The big differences between them is the pro has an extra telephoto lens (only 3x on the 6.1” 15 Pro), 120 Hz promotion display, and the USB-C port on the pro has 20x faster transfer speeds. The regular 16 has the camera control, but I don’t think that’s good enough reason to choose that one. I think I’d actually go with the 15 Pro.

Nah I’ll keep using my iPhone 11 The screen is perfectly fine, the battery at 72% capacity still stands strong and I don’t really need neither a better camera, nor a better cpu 5G isn’t even available in my country as well as chatGPT so these are cosmetic features to me I’ll only upgrade once base models get 120Hz or at least 90Hz display Oh and btw I use IOS 15.7 and sometimes older versions of apps are better than newer ones because they aren’t flooded with pointless features

It's just the flow that made the most sense to me. 😅 It's kind of like tiers. If you're upgrading from a 1 year old phone, you get this. If you're upgrading from a 2 year old phone, you get everything already mentioned + this. If you're upgrading from a 3 year old phone, you get everything already mentioned + this, and so on... Respectfully, Apple doesn't make enough of a change in my opinion to upgrade every year. I think Androids in general offers more for different budgets. I'm an android user and the only reason if I'll get an iPhone isn't because of what it offers. But rather just the convenience for others. Which at that point sounds stupid because basically all I'm saying is to help y'all Apple user avoid your green text discrimination. The cost is me buying a phone that is essentially a class worth of tuition.

I agree with your first point, and that’s actually why I made this video. Based on the phone you’re coming from, you can see the year over year accumulation of features, and determine if enough has changed to make it worth it. I think iPhone 12 and older is a good spot for most people who are wondering if they should upgrade. But everyone’s situation is different. I’m glad Apple finally added RCS support, so messaging between iPhone and Android should finally be getting a lot better.

According to Apple's website, the iPhone 16 has sensor-shift optical image stabilization, and the 16 Pro's have second-generation sensor-shift optical image stabilization. Very interesting! I missed that one.

I’m not exactly sure what’s required to record spatial video, but it first appeared on the iPhone 15 Pro. All the previous pro’s have the same camera layout, but don’t support it.
