Excited to see further reviews from people with hearing aids. My mom just bought the AirPods Pro 2 because she has mild hearing loss. She wore them to my nephew’s choir concert. She said she was actually able to understand the words of the songs for the first time in years. Technology is so cool!

No clue since I have never worn one but Apple is claiming medical grade hearing aid functionality so hopefully pretty close

Pro tip, if you have aftermarket tips that give you a clean AirPod warning, remove the tips and place the AirPods back in the case. It will then allow you to proceed, just put the tips back on before you start the test.

Downloaded most current 18.1 ran hearing aid app. Makes a difference from previous setting. Im deaf in 1 ear. Peoples voices are super clear and natural. The noise canceling feature is crazy good! Thank you, Apple!

What do negative dBHL results mean? Does that just simply mean that I have better hearing than what is expected as a baseline? I got -6 in both ears.

dBHL means = decibels hearing level A reading of -25db and below means you have little to no hearing loss. So a hearing aid may not benefit you. The negative sign followed by a number represents the amount of level in hearing that you’ve lost due to hearing loss. This is a very brief explanation please do more research on this if you want to know more / talk to a doctor.

dB HL is typically reported as a positive number for hearing loss, and that’s true of Apple’s figures as well. Negative numbers are “better” than normal hearing, but it’s more just reflecting a distribution around 0. Typically -10 to +25 is considered no or minimal loss.

I really want this to work for me! But..... My Airpods will not stay in my ears, at all! One wiggle of my head/jaw and out they come! Sooooooooo annoying!! Apprantly my ear canals are too damn big! I've tried using third party adapters but even those fail, miserably!! I LOVE my AirPods Max but those don''t work in all situations. And I worry about rain, thieves etc....

Yeah, AirPods Max won’t support the hearing features. Have you tried the different sizes of silicone eartips? There are different sizes provided in the box, but if you don’t have them, you can get them for fairly cheap from Apple. I’d recommend giving a different size tip a try. Hopefully that should work.

Stretch out your ear with the other hands while inserting so the ear tips go in deeper for a better seal if you haven't already.
