Here is a detail that you haven't noticed in the cinematic of this song. Kiryu is singing in a exhibition gala event. These kinds of festivals was popular back in the day and now it fazed out for like people think it is for ice skaters being unburden by competition. Kiryu is singing whatever he wants to and show his expressions and perform more personality. That is why to most people don't like this song because there is no rhythm or beats like friday night or machine gun kiss.

It's a shame this game isn't popular enough in Europe... If only more people stopped thinking it's a GTA "Rip off" due to the fact it has a single mini map that doesn't even look like its from a GTA game, they would fall in love with the Ryu Ga Gotoku series. About half way through Yakuza you feel like a hard bastard bashing crust in but by the time you've finished at least one game you'll be in tears and know what it's like to be a man. Because I sure did. I hope someday in the future more people witness this masterpiece.
