This has to be my favorite Iowa football video. The narration, the editing and the LIncoln Park soundtrack. I watched this live on TV with my dad and remember my reaction to Clayborn blocking that kick. I (my dad and I) both worked with a guy who is a Penn State fan. When I saw him after the game he commented that it was like a video game when Clayborn blocked the kick. For me, besides the Clayborn block the Angerer pick is awesome since I attended the same high school as Pat Angerer (Bettendorf). One thing, that always comes back to me is how well the two running backs would do despite being small and underclassmen. To me it's a reminder on how important it is to have a good to excellent O-line. I would have liked to see how well they'd have done the next year but IIRC they were both gone for off field reasons. It also brings up how this team would have been if Shonne Greene had stuck around for this year. It also makes me wonder how well he did in the previous year because of the Iowa O-line? IMO he did pretty well in the pros but I also think he was perfectly matched up with his O-line in 2008.

I've been to Happy Valley for the Iowa victory 6-4 a few years back. I've been to every Big Ten stadium `cept for the newest in Minnihaha and I want to say Penn State fans were the BEST, most courteous fans in the Big Ten even in defeat. They really are a class act and they respect Ferentz. Love Happy Valley. Also love the Hawks showing up every time we play them!!

Nice vid, that was a great game. Penn State will still have a great year though, they're a good team and they have some of the best fans in the world. Hopefully the Hawkeyes will continue their win streak this week and then on against Michigan. Go hawkeyes!

McShays comment came from a place of pure ignorance. In 2005 Iowa had its best recruiting class in this decade by average ranking Iowas was #6 in the nation. They had the #1 OL group in the nation and in that game they were seniors. The DL consisted of the #1 recruit out of MO(Clayborn) the #2 recruit out of KS(Ballard)the #3 recruit out of MN(Binns)and severely underrecruited/underrated player in Karl Klug. They will all play in the NFL. McShay needs to do his HOMEWORK next time. Oops!!
