I enjoyed watching IC&E colours working north from Kansas City into Eastern Iowa!
@CVisionProductions17 ай бұрын
Thank you so much, MJ! We’re happy that you enjoyed the video. The IC&E really did have a nice paint scheme. It’s unfortunate that so few locomotives remain in that scheme. As always, we appreciate you watching the video.

Thank you very much for the kind words. Clinton is a great place to catch the action. It was nice to finally be able to share some of Mr. Hadley’s Fifth Street coverage in this program. We appreciate you checking out the video.

Great footage of a railroad that nobody wanted!

Thank you so much, Joel! Both the I&M Rail Link and IC&E were destined to disappear. The larger railroads just weren’t going to allow a property like that stay in the hands of a regional railroad. Change seems to be the only constant for those former Milwaukee Road Midwest routes. Thanks again.

I dont know that much about the Milwaukee Road / SOO Line. At the time to get rid of this KC line just to purchase it back decades later KC is a city I dont think CP had another line to KC either.
@CVisionProductions16 ай бұрын
That’s correct, CP/SOO only had one route to Kansas City, and they chose to give it up -only to repurchase it several years later. Seems like a roundabout way to do business, but that’s not our area of expertise. Thank you for checking out the video.

CP gave the UP all that St. Paul-Kansas City autorack traffic in exchange for a junk train (599) that had to hauled to Glenwood and switched out onesies-twosies. Zinger and I made bank on that train and never left St. Paul.

You’re absolutely right on that. CP had a “thing” going with UP for a while, didn’t they? As for those 599 trains… nightmares, all of them. On the bright side, that equaled big paychecks for West Siders, and also gave the Glenwood switch crews something to do. Great memories!!! Thanks, Michael.
