That was really great seeing all the new Holland equipment it’s been a while since we’ve seen some of that on the channel

I haven't used a new holland tractor but back in the early 70's there hay balers just couldn't be beat...easy to work on and long lasting 600 bales a day plus no problem.
@bigtractorpower4 жыл бұрын
Those balers made Sperry New Holland the first $1 billion short line farm equipment brand in 1979. Sperry New Holland was out selling a full line like Allis-Chalmers at that time.

This is the last combine we had and I drove. We had a 40 foot draper front. Dad and I made a custom air feed front for it because we operated at faster speeds then the reel can handle. Lets just say 13km/h for me is slow. NH guys just didn't look. We only had trouble with the last one we had because they changed the hydrostatic drive system. It was to small and would over heat. I loved this machine though. Now days we would run a much bigger front and go slower though.

I know that we see a lot of grain carts but we have seen a few gravity wagons. Are gravity wagons still the predominate form of grain transportation in the field or are grain carts doing most of it? The tractors and the combine are really nice looking.

Lovely set up, tell the farmer dont get anything newer from CNH, TG's are the beginning of the end. our 1300hr 2017 T6.180 is on it's 3rd grapple switch and after this one was replaced i was hauling bales to customer and there was a big POP, turbo boot blew, luckily it had just come off....bad news it was covered in oil, yup, turbo seal on a 1300hr tractor, it's had all it's injector lines replaced. It's no Ford i tell ya.

Great video with tractors and gravity wagons. So they haul the corn to the farm and run it though a dryer and into a bin. Since they don't use trucks how do they haul the corn to the elavator to sell?

if yer close enough you can dump wagons in belly pits
@johnmccall87884 жыл бұрын
Tractor driver needs to move out 1 row then it would be dumping in center of wagon. If you are going to always be a mile or so from where you're going to be dumping wagons are fine.

Jason, I heard that fiat bought case steiger and new holland. Is this so? I figured if anyone knew it wld be you. Thanks
@bigtractorpower4 жыл бұрын
Yes Fiat is the parent company of CNH Industrial. Fiat acquired Ford New Holland from Ford Motors in 1991. Fiat had acquired Hesston in 1978 and as a result of the Ford New Holland acquisition under U.S. monopoly laws had to sell off Hesston which was sold to AGCO. In 1999 Fiat acquired Case Corp. and Case New Holland was created. Interestingly Volvo was also a contender to by Case Corp at the time. Because of monopoly laws Case New Holland has to sell several assists. New Holland Versatile 4wds were sold to Buhler Industries, Case IH Maxxum tractors were sold to Landini which created McCormick Tractors and Case IH’s hay tool line was sold to AGCO. I should probably make a video run down on these mergers some time.
