2nd half was great iowa football, the only thing i notice is mcnamara looks scared to throw the ball. it’s almost like he was told if he makes a mistake it’s gonna haunt him for the rest of his life. mistakes are gonna happen, iowa needs to let him take more chances with throwing the ball and reassure him that it’s gonna be okay. i just don’t understand how iowa is “supposedly” getting 4 star recruits at qb and then they end up throwing 50 yards in a whole game. they need to figure out what they r doing wrong with coaching their qbs. we can’t just run the ball forever.

They have 1 qb on the roster who was a 4 star (Cade) but he was a 3 star out of the portal. Certainly not any 5 stars. Sully was a 3 star, Lainez 3 star, Resar 3 star and Sullivan coming in next year, 3 star. No idea where where you got that info from but you can look all of this up lol. I haven’t heard anyone e en claim we’re getting 4 and 5 star quarterback recruits.

@@FlowAandMmy bad, i meant to type 3 or 4, just went a little to fast. i’m just so fed up with them not being able to pass the ball AT ALL, and it almost seems like kirk is fine with it. iowa will stay mediocre for as long as kirk is there.

I think it comes down to they didn’t need to throw in the second half they rushed for over 260 yards. If you can do that you’re going to win most big ten games.

Couldn't agree more! He does side throws across the line of scrimmage for 2 yard gains! Meanwhile, other QB's are trashed for getting less than 250 yards per game.

for the record i don’t think mcnamara is a BAD qb either… iowa just needs to figure out what they r doing wrong with their qbs. he was a STARTER at MICHIGAN.
