Vets ain't hating. This is all part of the plan. There would be no Caitlin Clark without some "villain" for her to match up against. Now there are rivals for Caitlin to play against and draw tickets for. If she just blitzed the league we would get bored of it and continue questioning why the WNBA exists. The league needs this tension like a good wrestling match.

It wasn't just Caitlyn, the media played off the black vs white angle with Angel Reese. And as expected people chose sides. That boosted the coverage and publicity. Caitlyn deserved the praise and adulation but we know a lot of it was media driven to push a narrative. That's why fans were supporting her when they didn't even know who she was just last year, eventhough she's been phenomenal her whole career

Clark will be great for the game, just like many greats before her. I grew up watching Diana Taurasi play for Uconn. It had the same electrifying feeling to it when you watched her play. As mentioned, so many greats for women's basketball, Clark may very well be the next. It will be interesting to see what she's become a few years down the road. Cardoso will be another one to watch, fierce competitor, she really has that edge to her. I wouldn't be surprised to see her on the list of greats either.

I am not a basketball fan but have to say Caitlin Clark caught my interest and watched two of her recent games and parts of two others accepted the opinion of others that her logo 3's were some thing special. The thing that really impressed me was some of her passes they reminded me of hockey's Great One, Gretzky. They did a study of Gretzky about something called long loop neuron reflexes which means he had heighten peripheral vision. It seems that her sense of where players are, where they are going and who is open even when an opponent is jumping in her face is excellent. It looked to me one time she passed the ball backhand to a teammate off to her side steaking up the court who after receiving the ball scored a basket.

We owe basketball as we know it to a janitor.... 1891-1892 - Naismith approached the school janitor, hoping he could find two, 18-inch square boxes to use as goals. The janitor came back with two peach baskets instead. Naismith then nailed them to the lower rail of the gymnasium balcony, one at each end. The height of that lower balcony rail happened to be ten feet. A man was stationed at each end of the balcony to pick the ball from the basket and put it back into play. It wasn’t until a few years later that the bottoms of those peach baskets were cut to let the ball fall loose.

The W been fire I’ve watched every year, even attend games and the crowds are packed. Absolutely happy Clark is bringing more eyes and money to the W but it was never the game that was suffering rather the marketing. Cappie, tamika catching, Candace Parker, sue, maya, DT, Tina Charles, Aja, plum, Stewie, Augustus , Sylvia Fowles, Lindsay Whalen, BG… it was only a matter of time the game would increase. Side note let’s go LIBS last year run was amazing but literally had me shed a 😢 for that 1 point L in the finals.
