My BEST + RAREST Find Ever! 1959 Impala Convertible FACTORY 4 SPEED!

Hey everyone and welcome back to Iowa Classic Cars! This is my BEST FIND EVER! I stumbled onto a super rare 1959 Chevy Impala convertible, 280hp 348 tri power, with a factory 4 speed! This is one of my favorite cars I have ever bought, and do not plan on selling it any time soon! Not many 59 chevy fullsize got the 4spd, mainly went into corvettes

Summer 1969, Melbourne, Florida I bought a 59 convertible with a 348. The car was 10 years old but so rusty the rear control arm mounts gave way, instantly tearing up the center driveshaft bearing. We tried welding the arm solid but it broke away. This happened a couple of times finally sold it to an unsuspecting marine and I left for Viet nam.Don’t miss that car one bit.

I really enjoy these Impalas. They are very cool. When I was a kid, my uncle had a 1960 Impala convertible with a 348, three 2-barrels and a 4-speed. Red with a red interior. Beautiful car and I loved riding in it. Keep 'em Up-N-Runnin'.

In the mid-1960's in Harrisburg PA there was a white '59 348 tri-power convertible 4-speed...the owner had it lettered at the front wheel opening "HOMICIDAL".

@@IowaClassicCars Back then we called the driver "Homicidal" as well. He had the car until '65. when he got rid of it (traded? Doubt it..) and bought a really beautiful '65 396 Supersport 4-speed. I managed to cadge a ride in it on the State Street Bridge in Harrisburg (conveniently about a 1/4 mile long, two lanes..) and it was a rocket. Saw him a few months later in some vanilla car. He had loaned the SS to his brother who "wrapped it around a tree"...

Congrats, that's a SERIOUS ACCOMPLISHMENT, lots of guys go their whole life & not be fortunate enough. Thanks for making these videos. They are enjoyable to watch. Back in the early '80's I had a 1962 Chevrolet Impala 4 door, beige/w white top. It had the 283 and PowerGlide. It was so easy to work on and very reliable. I liked the 59 to 64 model years of BelAir, Biscayne, Impala.

Hi Ryan. Thanks enjoy watching. What a rare find. They make repop. Floor pans rear floor plate. My brother had a 62 bel air red black interior. 409 4 speed. Was a nice car. My grand parents had a 59 impala black Red interior. Hard top. I did a restoration on 55 Chevy 2 door bel air with out the post. Had 283 3 on the tree. I put a 327 300 horsepower. With Muncie 4 speed. Nice car wished I kept it. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. I subbed to your channel. Peace out Ryan until next time.

My first car was a 59 white conv. red, interior, 348 quad, auto trans. Bought it for $150, needed battery and repaint dashboard, foam split and broken. I crashed it bad and front was messed up in 1969. I pull the motor and junked it, Had no garage but bought a $25, 1960 2 dr. Biscayne crashed fender only. 6 cyl, 3 speed. Dropped 348 in it w/ 3 speed, out in street. drove it for 6 months, it was a blast. But sold it for $250 . Wish I fixed it kept it, but could only afford one driving car. I think minimum wage then was 1.25 hr. My friends laughed at it because it wasn't a 327, said it was dump truck motor? Ha! Even when you multiply these $ x10, it was still all so cheap then!

I am currently out of room. i have 3 cars at my parents garage, and 5 more at my grandmas. I am not building any more cars until i have a shop put up. also, cars to do right, take $15-30k. idk about you, but i dont have that kind of cash just under my mattress. So just take a chill pill, im young. i got time. and i HAVE fixed them before, but im not going to go broke and put my family out to fix up a car.
