If that 46 still has the original engine, you might check the engine number. A lot of vehicles, 55 and older, used the engine number as the VIN. I have a couple of trucks like that.

@IowaClassicCars , if you have that, then you can get the state to issue a VIN tag for the body. My dad did that for a 55 Studebaker that he owned. At least it works that way here in Texas. Anyway, it's something to think about if someone wants to fix that truck up.

Interesting video, parts cars you have for sale seem to parted out beyond what was considered a parts car when I was your age.
