I’m a Californian man who’s had zero interest in women’s sports. Until Caitlin Clark; true greatness in sports is a rare thing. And it’s a pleasure, privilege to watch.
@2012Ursula8 ай бұрын
Sir, I'm a California woman who's been watching WBB since 1996, and while I'm truly happy that you've come aboard (and hope you stay here), there have been many great players before Clark: Lisa Leslie, Tina Thompson, Tamika Catchings, Chamique Holdsclaw, Diana Taurasi, Maya Moore, Seimone Augustus (my fave--the smoothest jump shot ever), Breanna Stewart and A'ja Wilson are just a few who come to mind. And there will be many more. Clark was in the right place at the right time, and I'm very glad she was.

My daughter is 12 years old never ever has she been interested in any sports, she started watching Iowa lady Hawkeyes this season because of her friends and fell in love with Caitlyn Clark, she has me March 3rd if I could buy her a basketball ball goal so she can learn to play like Clark. Found myself at the sporting goods store the next day, since then she has been outside just shooting and dribbling for hours, even when it’s lightly raining outside. She’s even waiting to tryout for her school’s basketball team next year and I’m so excited. These young women for the Iowa have inspired my baby girl and I couldn’t be prouder. Thank you Iowa and thank you CC22 all the way from Fort Smith Ar.

I can truly say today that I'm a fan of the Iowa women's basketball team. I knew nothing of CC or this team before April 17. When I first watched the title game on April 17, I became aware of Caitlin Clark's game. It wasn't too many days after when I became a fan of Clark's. However, it was a few months later that I became a fan of the Iowa women's basketball team. In the beginning of this year, I was in a state of depression. Going back watching the incredible season the Lady Hawkeyes had lifted me out of a dark mental place. I really don't know where I'd be today when it comes to my mental health had I not been watching Internet videos of the Hawkeyes historic run to the Final Four and subsequent title game. So, I don't care if anyone who follows this channel believes me. Just because I'm b-l-a-c-k and I'm proud doesn't negate the fact that the Hawkeyes has inspired me to be strong and resilient in the face of adversity!💯😍🏆🏆🏆I see champions! Not everybody gets to do what this team has accomplished since the beginning of their historic season in 2022-2023. Go Hawkeyes!

It felt special enough that I’m now here binging Iowa and Caitlin videos. 😂😂 Also I have a picture of a pregnant Maryland fan who got a small, pink basketball signed by Clark for her future daughter. I remember watching UConn back in the day and those girls would just bully other teams, 104-27 type scores. There was no depth of talent, it was all stacked onto a few teams. If I wanted to watch teenage girls bully each other I'd get a job as a HS janitor. Game is a lot more stacked and competitive now. Good to see. They're playing high level ball these days and its fun to watch.

This is incredible. Head coach and her assistants. The scouting manager. The strength coaches. The bench, the support they gave their teammates. The most influential players. Caitlin. The final reflection of Ms. Clark at 1.11.40 - such a deep train of thought for such a young person. Yes, she's a once in a generation kind of talent - a Maradona, a Cristiano Ronaldo, a Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Tiger Woods, Brady, Serena Williams. She is that. But she's also special as a person. I truly hope she distances herself from all the negativity, jealousy, etc, in the WNBA, for she is already a legend. Great documentary, Iowa Hawkeyes.

Never been a women's basketball fan, but I'm a sucker for highlight videos. Watching Caitlin nail 3-pointers is awesome, but that's just the gateway to appreciating the bigger picture: great team ball. And that's what has really made me a fan of this team: they have gifted players at every position, and they use them all strategically. I especially like to see great passing, and one key to that is putting the ball where only the intended receiver can get it-- Caitlin has that skill, but it relies on teammates with fantastic receiving/finishing ability. Both ends of those passes are top-notch, making for viewing gold. Keep it up, Iowa!

I'm an old geezer pushing 80 who has never been so inspired and smitten with today''s women's basketball... and the fireworks of good publicity which Caitlin brings. I played high school basketball and loved the game, loved to watch from the court and the bench. And I dearly loved to watch our cornfed WNC girls shoot beautiful jumpshots and whooosh the nets. It was music to my ears. And fun! And excitement!. I demand no injuries, no more violence toward Caitlin; you should too! She is a national treasure, and so is Angel. That violence I saw perpetrated by Chennedy Carter (and egged on by Angel) was assault and battery (a crime and a conspiracy) and had nothing but childish spleen to sour the basketball court. When it is otherwise so beautiful and so joyful...the grandest demonstration of the athletic capabilities of the human body. And, oh those endorphens! And the adrenaline of us spectators!

Did I expect Iowa to beat South Carolina in the 2023 Final Four? No. But I thought it was possible for them to win if Iowa shot well and did not get killed on rebounding. So what happened? Iowa did not shoot well and got killed on rebounding, yet somehow won anyway. And not only won, but led for 36 minutes of playing time and never trailed by more than one point.

You don't have to be a basketball fan to watch and really appreciate these games and the camaraderie that made this team become champions .

Finally a comprehensive look at this incredible '22-'23 NCAA season as lived by the Hawkeyes. I can't stop to think that the final statement by coach Bluder about a lesson to Amercia beeing second and not making excuse and just owning it was a hint at some of recent political happenings in your country. Which is to say all these pople are really class acts, which I believe most citizens in any country are anyway.

I'm from the 🇵🇭 and this just reminded me of that time Manny Pacquiao earned his name "the people's champ". It's during that fight he knocked down his opponent 3 times in a round but judges decided a draw result. He didn't win but he won people's admiration because of the way he fights. I think this moment is that moment for this Iowa team. Didn't win the championship but they became the people's champ. Because of the team they are and the way they play. Great video.

They are great coaches, and they love their players. Who wouldn't want to play for them.
