I believe that JD 6115 D is to be used on rough terrain powerline/ pipeline mowing. Tires most likely would not be good for skidding.

That was a V 12 John. The inner cylinders share exhaust ports. That puts out well over 100 horse power and has a road speed over 45 mph plus. Thanks for watching and dropping by John. How has your summer been?

Nice equipment!! Keep in mind, that 6030 really wasn't made for a soundguard cab... There was just a little too much difference between open station and the cabbed version. Nice forestry setup, seen them in magazines and video.. Thank you Gary!

Hey Gary, that was a big auction. I could make wood with that John Deere lol. The only problem with turning a farm tractor into a skidder is that the components on a tractor are not made like a real skidder. They are so much heavier on a real skidder. What happens is the operator running the tractor thinks they are using a real skidder and things start to break. I see it all the time. Lots of nice tractors there. Thanks for sharing

The one with the Zephyr V12 engine went for $13,000. That was a 100 h.p. hot rod that would do over 45 mph. I bet that thing would throw the sod when plowing plum over the fence into the neighbors.
