Very local network. The maximum length of a Thunderbolt cable is 3 meter and sets you back $159.00.

Or you can just get a usb 4 cable, it costs less than $50 for 3 meters.

@Thunderbolt and usb-c are not the same. The cable from Apple is active hence the price tag. To my knowledge Apple is the only manufacturer who makes a 3 meter TB4 certified cable.

@@djkasperg who said anything about usb-c? He said USB 4, which is fully compatible with TB 4. You shouldn’t run into any problems using the cables interchangeably in this scenario, as long as they are rated at 40 Gbps.
