Consider that this man has vested business interests in avoiding a constitutional voice. Alot of his mines would require consultation instead of being free to pick and choose. He also does not provide a better alternative.
@HMASBarbette
@HMASBarbette Жыл бұрын
@@jhykobz1yq There is no alternative. Can you not see the coup d'État by 400000 self-deprecating Australians currently totally equal in pursuing happiness? The worst aboriginal representatives in modern history lead the obfuscation on these matters, such as Thorpe, Doddson, Burney etc. If you, Sir can't see that, then In that case, you have something lacking in your love of your country. We all have a vested interest in the nation. Be it business through superannuation that gives you free money and capital growth, much of which is derived from Gas, Coal Iron Ore or are you keen on the paralyzation of the governmental process? Good intentions never lead to good outcomes. Having listened to the Ayers rock-carrying politician, I will vote NO as you and every Australian should do their duty. Warren Mundine is on the right side of history, as is Jacinta Price. However, no one should vilify them. That is purely childish mob mentality.
@jhykobz1yq

@@HMASBarbette My friend you have just criticised the voluntary advocates that Mundine provides as the only alternative, and you first spruik as a measure of equality, the contradiction in your view is just the inability to comprehend institutional violence. You are just a very privileged and probably spoilt white man, a boomers super is not a strong argument for a lack of reparations, your fortune sits in contrast to one of the largest examples of genocidal racism, and you are threatened about some measly shares..

Listening to Warren, I realise just how all humans are the same. My father (white) grew up on the family farm in western NSW in the 1930's during the Depression, in a tin hut, no electricity, dirt floor, his bedroom was on the veranda with his brothers. They were poor but they had food. Aboriginal shearers and their families stayed in a second cottage. They returned each year because Grandad paid fairly and there was mutual respect. Dad and his siblings played with the shearers kids. No doom and gloom stories of racial division, just humans coming together and helping each other. Thank you Warren, for your stories and your example of hard work and determination.

A voice? What sort of Voice is or should generated by the National Indigenous Australians Agency just as one example, given that it has a 21/22 budget of $5.7 billion and 1300 employees. If this level of bureaucracy, on top of all the other Councils etc, cannot claim to be a very loud voice for indigenous Australians, then what is it doing and if it is (as it should), then why do we need yet another expensive and cumbersome level of bureaucracy to provide a Voice?

Thank you Daniel & associates for the great question/conversation presentation & thank you Warren for your valued, unbiased assessment regarding the "Voice". In my opinion I think the "true" underlying goal of "Labor" is to move away from paying, manipulating, pressuring & lying to "voters" in order to get "in government" & instead simply remind "The Voice of Parliament" who gave them their Parliamentary position & thus deserving the Right to stay in parliament regardless of any outcome of any "Vote". Seems to me every time Labor gets into power "they" concoct a new means to "buy" voters .. boat people, refugees, select ethnic "open door" migrant policies & now this !! Thank God Australian "politics" hasn't quite reached the blatant "thug" tactics of Russia, China & North Korea ... YET !!

@saintsone7877
@saintsone7877 Жыл бұрын
Just look at the signatories for the clue. Approximately 500 different Aboriginal Nations, groups, tribes etc exist in Australia right now. Yet the "Statement from the Heart" was signed by 250 delegates representing less than 200 such Nations/Tribes,/Groups etc. Where are the signatures of the other 300 or so Nations/Tribes/Groups etc? Yet Albanese/Burney etc would have us believe it has almost unanimous support from ALL Aboriginal Nations/Tribes/Groups etc. Warren stated those that opposed were removed yet that was NEVER covered by any MSM outlet and one has to ask why? He also stated that originally only those that were invited had a say. Again, why were the voices of those that disagreed not even listened to. In a Democracy all sides get a say and the people then vote. Seems with the Voice and Uluru "Statement of the Heart", only those that agreed with a certain view got to have a say. Therefore it is undemocratically inspired and should be rejected by the electorate.

We are similar but not the same. My family were poor. My parents both worked 7 days a week. My dad also worked on a cattle and Weat farm. His parents also lived in a humpy. I also have photos. We saved and purchased a business that was burnt down by aborigines in a little town called Dirrinbandi. The insurance company refused to pay for arson. We managed to recover and moved into a two bedroom house, where I shared a room with my 3 sisters. The difference is we weren’t classed as indigenous and never received a cent from the government. Unlike Mr Mundines family, we never received government allowances or special privileges. We worked hard, respected our neighbours, paid our taxes , served and fought for our country and never took anything we didn’t work for. Now we are being welcomed to our own country on a daily basis and made to feel like we shouldn’t be here. Our taxes help pay for these programs, we give and work in charities but it’s not enough. We are apparently privileged and if we disagree we are now racist. This country I call home I can barely recognise. What made it great is being removed brick by brick and what made us unique is being torn sway. It is heartbreaking.

When I went to Boarding School in QLD early 80's. All of the Aboriginal, and T.I. kids had EVERYTHING paid for, including pocket money. All of the oppurtunities are there already Just go to school....education is the practical key to fix many of the issues today. I lived on Groote Eylandt. Massive school, breakfast, everything laid on. Do a count, you'll find 6 kids in total at that school.......where are all the Truancy Officers???????? I also lived in Nhulunbuy, there was an Aboriginal Boarding school. Gullaru Yunnipingu, who was the Leader of the Northern Land Council CLOSED it........HELLO. It is now used as the Garma Festival area....YEAH GREAT DEAL FOR YOUR OWN PEOPLE close schools and use that area to push your own political agendas. Those kids just went back to community. "NO"

I note with some trepidation that the Government is subsidising the yes vote for the voice and yet upto now there is no official body to explain to us what does this voice vote actually means or more to the point as yet no organisation has put their hand up to furnish all the details about this complicated matter, we as a sovereign people of a sovereign country deserve nothing less.

Just my 2 cents worth when my son was at school he did his cert 2 in automotive as he wanted to be a mechanic as he had grown up with it being around me. He topped his class in automotive and got his cert 2 . Now there were 5x aboriginal kids in his class that were at the bottom of the class have the time they were sucking their thumb instead of listening or trying to work things out for themselves they would get the other kids to help them through.they wouldnt know a gearbox from a bloody diff. But guess what at the end of year 12 they all got apprenticeships handed to them through the mines of course government subsidized. It took my son over 12 months to get his apprenticeship through a small mechanical workshop.none of those 5x kids that got the job in the mines got past 2nd year of their apprenticship and when they got put off the mines took on more aboriginals they are passing each outher coming in and out the gate. Now where does racism really start . What your black and iam white the government is and has been wiping the aboriginals arse for far too long it should go on merit not skin colour. The aboriginal inherited this land for thousands of years before british settlement. And what did they do with it nothing what would they have done with it if british didnt settle here or anyone else for that matter a big fat feck all thats what they would be still running around the bush with spears and boomerangs hunting animals they wouldnt have had the opportunitys they have available to them today so to all those from the giveme giveme tribe and the mewant tribe buck up little camper my word is NO NO FECKING NO

Gap? Don't drink, don't smoke, get a job, support your family, feed your kids, keep women and kids safe. Send your kids to school, provide a safe home. All this equals no gap no matter your color. It is simple personal responsibility. It's all about money and power.

Australia is one of the oldest and most successful democracies because our constitution is based on the idea of the equality of all Australians. Australia's success as a free and prosperous country is founded on the idea that all humans are of equal worth. Regardless of race or ethnic background, all Australians must be treated equally by the government and by the law. In the constitution, all Australians should have the same rights and should share the same responsibilities. Race has no place in the Australian constitution. The Voice is a race based position. The Voice will not be unrestricted because of race. The Voice will literally be restricted especially because of race. By definition The Voice will employ segregation and discrimination. By definition The Voice is not open to all Australians. The Voice is exclusive and race based, and has no place in a modern democratic, representative political system. Disagreement with any change that is not democratic, and is not representative, and will be discriminatory. This is now deemed racist?🤔 Why yes let us as a proud multi-ethnic nation Australia, undermine our modern representative democracy in favour of divisive, popular, crowd-pleasing, and overt virtue signalling? Why would we allow this? How afraid and intimidated have we become in Australia? The Voice is not a path to reconciliation, and harmony it is a path to entrench structural racism within our nation's constitution. Something that should be abhorrent to all Australians but particularly so to Indigenous Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islander’s.

Not being rude but I swear I would have been able to write that in a few sentences and not repeat myself over and over again . But the big problem is no one is mentioning the big issue of who is Aboriginal and who is getting all the money and why we're called racist if we suggest that white Aboriginal people should not be getting the same sort of funding that the full bloods get

@@melissaexton3679 THE ROYAL BRITISH MAFIA CONSTITUTION!!!! Yeah. Hell yes! Absolutely The British civilizational contribution to the Australian system/culture really must go! All those ideas centred on the value of human happiness, the pursuit of knowledge obtained by means of reason and the evidence of the senses, and ideals such as natural law, liberty, progress, toleration, fraternity, constitutional government, and separation of church and state. Yes we really must get rid of all that hooey!😆 Bloody MAFIA CONSTITUTION!🥹 Thomas Aquinas more like Dishonest your Highness😭

We are all apart of this Great Nation Australia, we don't need to change what we have. Today Australia is much more than black and white.... we are a Nation of all peoples.... we are not just black and white....this referendum ignores the many contributions that Greeks, Italians, Vietnamese, south American (to just mention a few) have made to our Nation. This referendum ignores all migrants and believes that only British and Aboriginal peoples contribute to this Nation 🇦🇺

What a top bloke Warren is, with the wisdom and knowledge he has, this Labour Government should take him on board immediately, primarily he would be more beneficial to our Aboriginal brothers and with the assistance they need in all walks of life and secondly he would (if allowed) be of more help to the Aboriginal peoples than a hundred voice referendums, methinks there is a hidden agenda here and the poor Aboriginal people are the pawns in some woke political game, shame on you Anthony Albanese for trying to mislead the Australian people, I voted for Labour but didn't think they would go down this road of misconception and treachery, and because of their underhanded way they are handling this subject, I will be voting NO.
