This is a really great review. I upgraded to a Ipad 10th gen from my IPad 6th gen and I agree with you regarding the Pencil, I literally have no use for it. I bought a cheaper keyboard of Amazon anyways and I was never going to spend over $200 on a keyboard case when I can get the same thing on Amazon for half the price so apple has lost their mind on that one. This IPad is an absolute beast and it makes me so sad that the stupid price really caused it to get a bad name out the gate. I thankfully got it after the lowered the price so I am happy! I keep my IPads a really long time so I’ll defiantly get my moneys worth!

I bought my 10th generation iPad and I absolutely love it. Bought it at the $350.00 price in March 2024. Also traded in my 8th generation and old iPad Pro and only paid $70.00 total. I don’t need an Apple Pencil so for my needs with Streaming Content some social media this more than meets my standards. Great video btw!

I upgraded my 8th gen iPad to the 10th gen a few days ago and I love it so far. I got it on sale on Amazon for like 330 and the battery is incredible! I really enjoy the new design and I already have a MacBook Pro and a iPhone 14 Pro so my iPad is basically my home media player and I use it a lot for retro gaming, installed delta and gamma, pair a ps4 controller and you got a beast of a emulator especially for Apple

I never use an iPad but it sounds like an amazing deal. I actually have 3 iPads, an iPad Air 1 32GB Wi-Fi iCloud Locked, iPad Air 1 128GB Cellular unlocked, and iPad 2 64GB Wi-Fi Unlocked, all functionally and in amazing conditions, and two iPhones also in amazing condition for only $38. Might be the best deal I have ever gotten.

As someone who actually used his base model iPad 8 for light productivity, finally getting USB-C on the base model iPad 10 was a long overdue update… I was really considering selling my 8th gen to get the 10th gen, but I got the M3 MacBook Air instead

I just got my iPad pink 64 go for college and I honestly love it. From doing online quizzes modules and word PowerPoint I have not once opened my laptop, unless I game. I love my Apple Pencil usb-c. I paid 312 usd on amazon idk I enjoy it the streaming of movies and shows doing my classes and basic stuff. This was more in my budget and it works beautifully I love my pink iPad.

As an iPad 9th generation user, I felt that the 10th generation, when it had first released, made WAY too many compromises for me to even consider “upgrading”… especially as someone who writes a lot and it had sloppy Apple Pencil support at the time, not to mention the price point. But now, Apple has really improved the reputation of the iPad 10th generation… especially with the release of a USB Apple Pencil and the price cut. Sure, I’m only pointing out two things… but those things alone made a whole bunch of people upset with the 10th gen at the time, but in the times since, thanks to updates like these… the reputation of the 10th gen is a lot better these days

Picked up a 256 gb one for my son for under $500 with 2 years of AppleCare+, and a 64gb one for myself for $249.99 USD. Under $800 for 2 new iPads? Yes please. A 7 year old doesn’t need an M whatever chip, I have an iPhone so I don’t care about having Apple AI or cellular or extra storage on the iPad that I’ll use to stream and maybe play some games. I use it essentially as en extension of my phone, and I have no need for a laptop. This is absolutely a perfect tablet.

I also had 10th Gen but returned it for the m2 air for the following reasons: 1: Too much reflection even with high brightness 2: colors was okay but sometimes, it really felt bad especially for watching movies/documentaries. 3: Games were pretty much okay except grand theft auto which I often play where the lagging was apparent. 4: The base model just had 64 GB which was just not enough. 5: The new apple pencil usb c worked really good but not charging with attachment really sucked and I had to charge it separately which was a pain. So I went for air m2 with better color, significantly less reflection, being more light, higher graphics with smooth gameplay, came with 128 GB which is great for playing high-end games, taking notes, taking pictures and also editing it and the air really felt lighter and thinner than the 10th Gen plus, apple pencil pro charges just by attaching it and having pressure sensitivity and gyroscope really feels great. Air’s folio is also great with more adjustable option for streaming for taking notes. The only downside is the battery which could’ve been better.

I have the 256gb model and enjoy it immensely. Still had my Apple Pencil from my iPad Pro 2018, so Procreate has been fun. Apple Arcade has also been great for relaxing hours. I do have a Tab S9 so what I can't do on one I do on the other. Great review

Great honest review! I have a iPad Pro m2 12.9 and an iPad mini 6. The pro stays home but I bought the mini to take with me daily on outings. The mini screen is a bit too small for comfortable viewing for me. I use it only for media consumption, web browsing. Question: Is the iPad 10th gen portable? I’m wanting to trade in my mini for it. With trade in, the 10th gen with 256gb will cost me $190. Should I do it? Is this a good deal? And is it portable? Thanks for any help.

Awesome! I considered getting an iPad Pro at some point. I don’t think it’s a good idea to trade the Mini 6 for the iPad 10. The specs of the mini are better than the regular iPad 10, and apple’s trade in price doesn’t match up to the worth of it. If you want to get a 10th gen, I’d suggest selling the mini instead of trading it in. Funnily enough, right now I’m the exact opposite situation. I have the 10th gen and just ordered a used Mini 6 for the better specs, along with Apple Pencil 2 support. I don’t hate the 10th gen, I just wanted a smaller iPad.

$299 on Amazon for Prime Day. Good buy at that price point but iPad 11 will be announced this month, so that’s worth considering. The iPad 10 won’t get Apple AI but the iPad 11 likely will.

I’ve used it for a year (64 gb version). I do have enough space, I wish this had 128 gb base storage though, because I can’t play any big games like Honkai: Star Rail (works like a charm) anymore. This does have a great processor, but the 4gb ram is a disappointment. I love the camera compared to my actual phone, and the front camera is actually centered and it was good until the new ipad release. With the price drop, it’s worth it for 64 gb compared to the tab s9 fe, Samsung’s competition to the ipad 10. only benefit is that it has 128 gb + 6gb ram base, compared to 64gb + 4gb ram. anyway it’s great!

How can an ipad air 2 get slower? I had the same experience with my ipad 6th gen. It was was after an apple update that overnight it started going slower. Every subsequent update it got slower until today i got a 10th gen 256gb ipad which is quick. My point is when I bought my previous ipad it worked as quick as this but Apple cobbled it with updates. I presume the same will happen with this 10th gen when Apple want me to buy a new one.

The operating system will continue to need more power, using more of your battery and processing power. Overtime, this will make the device nearly unusable which is why Apple stops supporting updates after 5 years usually, so your device can stay semi-functional

Congrats! Although one thing - the iPhone 15 Pro will be replaced with the 16 Pro in three months. Unless you got a really good deal or don’t have anything else to use in the meantime, I’d recommend returning it and getting a 16 Pro in September. But nothing against the 15 Pro, I think it’s an amazing device and I almost bought one to upgrade from my 14 Pro.
