Finally, a great teardown video of the iPad Air 4! I had really been wondering why iFixit (or basically anyone else) did not even tear down the iPad Air 4 or the iPad 8 within a few days after each of the devices came out. If iFixit were to tear it down and give it a repairability score, I think it would be a 2 or 3 out of 10.

Surely it will be. We seldom damage parts during teardown but this time we damaged them. Teardown the iPad Air 4 require very high skills and be very careful.

Do you mean touch panel glass? Yes every device has an outer glass that once it get cracked it need to be replaced.

Hello, The storage memory is grafted to the motherboard if I understand correctly? I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use the same device as the one I'm using now, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use the same device as the one I'm using now.... The 128GB storage space only for 700€ of investment is a steal from Apple. The only positive point is the quality of the image and the sound which remain really top...too bad that the autonomy and the reparability do not follow I think quickly to resell this product After repair by garanty

Not sure where the apple logo is. Do you mean the apple logo on the metal back housing, or the logo appears when power on the iPad? Anyway, sounds there must be something wrong.

the right side is mother board, and the bottom right is the connection between battery and board. Not quite sure how higher the heat is, but if you feel it's risky enough, better go to Apple and check out.

If it has started to drain battery, then go to repair store to repair is good choice, but if the Touch ID stop working and if you want it back, the only way is go to Apple and restore it.

My pencil isn’t connecting to my iPad(through Bluetooth not physically), would you happen to know why? I don’t think it’s my pencil it connects to other iPads. Took it in to get looked at ran diagnostics and started working again. Then stopped charging and working again. Thanks.

In my opinion, if the pencil always connect stably with other iPad, the problem probably is the iPad's bluetooth function unstable. But if your iPad connect with other bluetooth device(like another pencil, bluetooth speakers etc) stably, then maybe it need a comprehensive diagostics on board.

Hi Jean, Touch ID was encrypted with logic board data by Apple, so even if you replace the broken one with new touch ID button, the touch ID function will still not work. The only way to bring Touch ID back is go to Apple and let them to restore it for you.

i don't like how apple ditched from 4 speakers into only 2 (while its top & bottom looking make you feel it has 4 speakers), that is turned to ipad air 4 😂. its internal seems to be nearly the same as both my ipad air 1 & ipad pro 9.7" when my repairman fixed my old ipads. however for me the ipad air 4 is not as bad as all, i really like it so much as it should have been for my 5 year old ipad pro 9.7" replacement due to major screen functioning issues and dead camera. however until i bought my ipad pro 11" 2020 during christmas day because all stores in my country had run out of stock 😕. i'm scared if it also bends easily 🥲, but for full features i needed, especially 120hz promotion display is one of my most favorite parts which ipad air 4 didn't have
