the time I shower usually depends. I'm a mechanic so, if I have work that day, I shower in the evening after work because I get filthy at work. But on my day off, I'll shower in the morning because I am doing stuff the whole day and in the evening.

Losing the ability to read makes life so much harder than just not speaking 😭

You have not thought this through smartly enough. As someone with a mother and a sister that are completely blind; they can navigate through life independently with a cane and a phone in their hand, to read for them and go through documents, and even do part time work. Imagine losing your ability to speak, even say a word. Being trapped under a ruble, getting into a dangerous situation and not have the ability to ask for help, or say what the problem is. Having a predator attacking you and being speechless. The more i think about it, the easier the decision is.
