Hey, I purchased an ipad air 5 yesterday in Australia. My first apple product. I kept it for charging on my adaptive fast charging Samsung adapter and it stayed at 3% for 2 or more hours which was scary. I unboxed the charger I got from apple and plugged it. After 3 hours, it has charged 76%. Is this okay? Can I make it better or should I return it? Awaiting your response, thanks :)
@sixbux2 жыл бұрын
Have a look at this I have found. What’s the charging speed of the iPad Air 5? Knowing how long it takes a device to fully charge can be important to some potential customers. We have monitored and recorded the charging time of the iPad Air 5. Before sharing the results, you should note that: The iPad Air 5 wasn’t used during the charging process. It had Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on. It’s a Wi-Fi model, so it had no active cellular plan. No third-party tasks were running in the background. We used Apple’s official 20W USB C charging brick, paired with the company’s USB C to USB C cable. When it comes to speed - from 0%, it took the iPad Air 5: 60 minutes (1 hour) to reach 50%. 95 minutes ( 1 hour, 35 minutes) to reach 80%. 135 minutes (2 hours, 15 minutes) to reach 100%. As you can see, it takes the iPad a long time to fully charge - when compared to most modern smartphones. That’s because it has a battery that is significantly larger than those included in phones. 2 hours and 15 minutes is still an acceptable time in the tablet charging department nonetheless. See more www.xda-developers.com/apple-ipad-air-5-charging/

iPad requires 10w of charging and most chargers are only 5w. So he'll need to pay close attention to the amperage. If it takes forever to charge, it means the charger just isn't powerful enough. He can boost the charging time by putting the iPad into Airplane mode. Using the wall charger, about 4 hours. The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). Yes this is a general issue on older devices. Apps running in the background on your iOS or iPadOS device can deplete the battery faster than normal, especially if data is being constantly refreshed. To disable background app refresh and activity, open Settings and go to General -> Background App Refresh and set it to OFF. Connect iPad to a wall power outlet and make sure the charging cable and wall outlet are well connected. Clear debris from the charging port. Set iPad to Airplane Mode. Turn off Wi-Fi and cellular Your iPad Charging Slow Might be Due to a Clogged Port Next, take a look at your charging port and see if there is anything clogging it. There might be food crumbs, dirt, dust, or some sort of other grime. After restarting your iPad, it's time to take a close look at your charging cable. If your cable is damaged, or if your iPad is charging slowly anyway, try using a different Lightning cable. If your iPad begins to charge more quickly with the new cable, you'll probably have to get your old one replaced.

Try some of these steps: A forced-restart of your iPad is the first action to perform - as this will often resolve a latent software issue: On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons. Get Rid of Wavy Lines On iPad Screen Caused by Moisture. There is a common issue with the device getting moisture trapped inside the screen. This can cause the display screen to produce wavy lines, or dim pixels. In most cases, this problem can be fixed easily with just a few steps. Is it okay if i use 33w adapter android for my ipad 5th generation?
@sixbux9 ай бұрын
It is **not recommended** to use a 33W adapter designed for Android devices to charge an iPad 5th generation. The iPad 5th generation requires a charger that supports **12W** of power output¹. Using a charger with a higher power output than required can cause damage to the device's battery and charging circuitry². It is best to use a charger that is specifically designed for the iPad 5th generation or one that supports the required power output. I hope this helps!

Battery Life Improvements for iPad There are also a few adjustments that you can make with the device that could help with battery drain since there is no “Low Power Mode” for the iPad like there is for the iPhone. You can turn down the screen brightness. You can turn off the Background Refresh feature for apps. You can turn off Push mail and use Fetch instead. You can use the headphones instead of the speaker if you are listening to music. You could set the Auto-Lock to 1 minute. Any of those should help in the battery-draining department. Check usage iOS contains a battery usage - utility that lets you know exactly which apps and services are using your battery and how. Launch Settings from your Home screen. Tap on Battery. Wait a moment for Battery Usage to populate. Tap on the Show Detailed Usage button to get a breakdown of foreground and background power usage. Tap on Last 7 Days to get a broader look at power consumption over time. It can be tricky to understand, but here's the deal: If you see iCloud Photo Library there, and you've just upgraded, it's a sign you're downloading thumbnails and things should return to normal when you're done. If you see Facebook there and it says 4% on screen and 40% in the background, it's a sign something has gone wrong. Why is my iPad battery draining so fast all of a sudden? Auto-Lock is the setting that automatically turns off your iPad's display after a certain number of minutes. If Auto-Lock is set to Never, your iPad battery may drain much faster because the display will always be on unless you lock it. To turn on Auto-Lock, go to Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Auto-Lock. Also try these steps: 1. Turn off or limit app getting refreshed in the background. 2. Limit apps accessing location services. 3. Limit app notifications. 4. Switch on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth only when needed. 5. Limit exposure to too much heat or cold. 6. Ensure your iPad is updated to the latest software. 7. Keep off apps that drain battery.

Your iPad might have a dirty or damaged charging port. Your iPad needs more power from your power adapter or other power source. Your charging accessory is defective, damaged, or not certified by Apple. Your USB charger isn't designed to charge iPad. iPad requires 10w/20w of charging and most chargers are only 5w. It's entirely possible that there's an easy fix and your tablet will be charging again in no time. 1. Make sure that your iPad isn't charging. 2. Restart your iPad. 3. Don't try to charge it via computer. 4. Check your charging cable for damage. 5. Check your iPad's Lightning port. 6. Check how the iPad is plugged in. If an alert says that your accessory isn't supported or isn't certified 1. Remove any debris from the charging port on the bottom of your device. 2. Restart your device: iPhone. iPod touch. 3. Try a different USB cable or charger. 4. Make sure you have the latest version of iOS. If your iPhone is still refusing to charge even when it says it is, try using a different Lightning cable. There could be an issue with your Lightning cable, not your iPhone. While you're at it, try a different charging too. A wall charger, laptop USB port, and a car charger are all good options. Use the adapter that came with your iPad. Not all power adapters are equal. The smaller iPhone adapter can supply the iPad with only half the power of the iPad adapter. If you have an iPad Pro, the iPhone charger takes even longer to bring it up to 100 percent. If your iPad charges slowly or won't charge Check your charging cable and USB adapter for signs of damage, like breakage or bent prongs. * Don't use damaged accessories. Remove any debris from the charging port on the bottom of your iPad, then firmly plug your charging cable into your iPad. Your iPad might have a dirty or damaged charging port. Your iPad needs more power from your power adapter or other power source. Your charging accessory is defective, damaged, or not certified by Apple. Your USB charger isn't designed to charge iPad. Is it OK to use my iPad while charging? You can use your iPad while charging the battery. However, depending on what you are doing, you many not charge at a fast rate, or you may actually not charge at all, if you are doing graphic intensive applications and your screen is set at 100% brightness. Are you charging from a computer USB or the wall plug power adaptor yout iPad came with? A computer's USB port will not have enough power to charge and run it, but the wall plug unit should easily do so. The device will charge faster if it is switched off. The device will charge slower if you are subjecting your device to heavy usage while charging, like Camera, Videos, Games, etc. The device will charge in almost the same time if you keep it switched ON, but in idle and Airplane mode.

How does quick charging work? In order to understand the power of quick charging, we need to analyze how regular chargers used to work. Until now, chargers were careful not to allow too much current flow into the device because it had the potential of damaging the battery and frying the phone in some cases. Quick charging works with an increased limit of voltage that allows for considerably smaller charging times. Even if it sounds risky, the technology has been around long enough for it to be safe. And no, the Note 7 fiasco had nothing to do with fast charging. But as with all developing technologies, things are not perfect. Users are reporting problems with fast charging merely after they’ve purchased their device. With this in mind, let’s take a look at the most common factors that will cause your phone to stop fast charging: Using a charger that doesn’t support adaptive fast charging Faulty adapter Broken USB cable Lint / Dirt accumulation inside the micro-USB port (charging port) Faulty charging port Fast charging is disabled from Settings Software glitch For more details. appuals.com/fix-fast-charging-not-working/

Hi, I am a new iPad user. I prefer to switch off my iPad when I put it to charge at night, when I am not using. I noticed it that when I charge this way the battery gets charged slow ( I manually put the device off when I plug it in the charger and make sure the device is not on). While charging with iPad on, it charges much Can you please tell me if it’s normal this way.
@sixbux2 жыл бұрын
The iPad is designed to be turned on more or less all the time, the software installed on the iPad (iOS) is helping the the device to charge the most effective way. This is the reason why you see this behavior. Hope it makes sense.

Yes an iPad will charge slower if it is used while charging. If possible turn off as many things you can like screen, wifi and Bluetooth. asy tips on iPad charging slowly Use a wall power outlet. 8 ways to improve iPad battery life 1. Lower screen brightness. 2. Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when not needed. 3. Turn off AirDrop. 4. Turn off Handoff. 5. Don't push, fetch less. 6. Limit Background App Refresh. 7. Keep an eye on location services. 8. No more notifications.

Try to follow these steps: Remove any debris from the charging port on the bottom of your device. Restart your device: iPhone. iPod touch. Try a different USB cable or charger. Make sure that you have the latest version of iOS. Contact Apple Support to set up service. 1- Try a different power source It is possible that your iPhone is not the problem but the power source. Try another power socket or try plug it into your computer to see if that makes any difference. If you were already charging from your computer, try to plug it into another USB port. 2- Try a different charging cable Check your charging cable. Try a new cable. You may want to borrow one. If your iPad starts to charge now, this means you need to replace your charging cable. Your iPad might have a dirty or damaged charging port. Your iPad needs more power from your power adapter or other power source. Your charging accessory is defective, damaged, or not certified by Apple. Your USB charger isn't designed to charge iPad. 6. Check how the iPad is plugged in. iPad requires 10w/20w of charging and most chargers are only 5w. So he'll need to pay close attention to the amperage. If it takes forever to charge, it means the charger just isn't powerful enough. He can boost the charging time by putting the iPad into Airplane mode. How to properly clean an iPad charging port 1.Purchase an air duster. 2. Point the air nozzle at the charging port. 3. Spray several short bursts. 4. Try plugging your iPad in. 5. Look inside the port for any caked-on dust or dirt. 6. Delicately insert the toothpick into the port. iPad requires 10w/20w of charging and most chargers are only 5w. So he'll need to pay close attention to the amperage. If it takes forever to charge, it means the charger just isn't powerful enough. He can boost the charging time by putting the iPad into Airplane mode. Also have a look at these articles and see if it can help you solve the problem. www.google.com/amp/s/www.payetteforward.com/why-is-my-ipad-charging-slowly-heres-truth/amp/

Grab a flashlight (or use the one built into your iPhone) and take a close look inside your iPad's charging port. ... Afterwards, try charging your iPad again. Easy tips on iPad charging slowly Use a wall power outlet. Connect iPad to a wall power outlet and make sure the charging cable and wall outlet are well connected. Apple's Lightning cable are prone to fraying, and when they do, they can stop working properly. If your cable is damaged, or if your iPad is charging slowly anyway, try using a different Lightning cable. The device will charge faster if it is switched off. The device will charge slower if you are subjecting your device to heavy usage while charging, like Camera, Videos, Games, etc. The device will charge in almost the same time if you keep it switched ON, but in idle and Airplane mode.

My tablet charges slow when I use it but when I I don't use it it charges faster is that normal that it charges slow when I use it?
@sixbux3 жыл бұрын
Yes an iPad will charge slower if it is used while charging. If possible turn off as many things you can like screen, wifi and Bluetooth. asy tips on iPad charging slowly Use a wall power outlet. 8 ways to improve iPad battery life 1. Lower screen brightness. 2. Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when not needed. 3. Turn off AirDrop. 4. Turn off Handoff. 5. Don't push, fetch less. 6. Limit Background App Refresh. 7. Keep an eye on location services. 8. No more notifications.
