I wish they would’ve put the A18 instead of the 17 but I’m still gonna buy the thing and I’m happy that it’ll take the new pencil the pro three pencil instead of the Apple two which I already have and I’m looking forward to having it make it easier to log around instead of my 12.9 inch

I wish it was A18 as well. Especially since Apple only updates the mini every few years. Regardless A17 Pro is still a power chip

I have been waiting to upgrade my mini 4. Though I feel bad for peeps that recently paid 499.00 for the 64 gig mini 6. P.S. the mini 6 case is on eBay for 25.00. It is compatible with the mini 7. Bought a new one in burnt orange before people twig and the prices shoot up! Then with the money saved, buy a plug which no longer comes with the I pad 😞. I have an I phone 13 USBC plug so can use that.

I just ordered mine, ETA Oct 23. The physical home key broke on my old iPad mini with Retina display (iPad mini 2) some time after the iPad mini 6 was released and I almost jumped, but I really wanted USB-C and I decided to wait for the next gen. My old mini has 256 GB of storage, the max that they stopped offering when the mini 3 was introduced. I loaded it up with a bunch of media of all kinds so I needed the storage. I got this one in purple (I wish it was a stronger purple instead go the light pastel but whatev's) with the max 512 GB storage. I also got the purple folio cover and the Apple Pencil Pro. The Pencil Pro was way up on my wish list after they introduced it. I was also hoping for Face ID, but I still haven't heard either way on that one. While I swore my next mini would have cellular, I'm now in a situation where most places I go have wi-fi so I passed this time. I can always use my iPhone 15 as a hotspot in a pinch.

Why all the hand ringing over upgrading to the iPad Mini 7? I pulled the trigger immediately. I bought the 256K which cost $600 and got a $230 trade-in for my 64K iPad Mini 6 for an out of pocket $370. For me, that’s a bargain. I get a faster processor, four times the memory, a faster USB , pencil Pro support and a brand new device.

Apple never shares RAM but given that it has A17 Pro & will power Apple intelligence, its most likely 8GB RAM
