Wonderful video and techniques to enhance existing brushes. Like you, I have added elements to a scene that was already finished. I’ve learned to lock finished layers so Procreate forces me to make a new layer. Works great… when I remember. Thanks for sharing!

On a few of your videos we draw fir trees, plain and with snow, but how do we draw the trees we have in the UK, oak trees, ash etc, you have shown autumn types with no leaves, but have you done one with trees in summer or full bloom, also flower beds etc. Tried a few times to do myself but looks like a doodle rather than a proper draw. I’m sure it’s easy to do but I can’t do it. Rather stay on one person showing as I don’t believe getting multiple teachings as everyone is different. Keep Safe

I have a question. I have been following along with your tutorials for a long time now, and I have been facing a serious problem with my work. The piece looks wonderful on procreate, but absolutely garbage on places like Instagram and Facebook. (Especially Facebook.) It's horrifically blurry and out of focus. And the colors are washed out terribly. Just for reference, I have tried just about everything I can think of. My canvas was a 4000 x 4000 px with over 600 DPI, and an RGB color Profile (though I used multiple color profiles just to see if the brightness would change at all).. I used these absurd sizes because anything smaller than that, and Facebook would totally destroy the image. :( I also switched to HD settings on Facebook as well. I have tried sharing straight from procreate, Sending it to myself on messenger, saving it to my ipad and THEN sharing it....and each time the result remains blurry :( I'm wondering, how do you get your images to look this sharp and clean without such horrible quality loss? I see people posting procreate art on Facebook all the time and they don't seem to have this issue. *cries*
@JamesJulier-Artist3 жыл бұрын
I know Facebook does horrible processing things with posts. How do they look when you save them to your photos? If they look decent in procreate then they should be ok elsewhere too.

My only comment is I try to follow your tips and my brush sizes do not match yours remotely. Which has caused me to unsubscribe, sorry I enjoy your painting but you never respond to problems.
@JamesJulier-Artist2 жыл бұрын
I respond constantly and specifically to this question. There are only 2 reasons as far as I can imagine, the first being that aren’t using an a4 canvas, the second that you have selected the wrong brush. Within the airbrushing section there is a soft brush and a soft airbrush, I use the larger of the two. Check these.
