Just found this tutorial and I like it. I haven't really done painting/drawing much but want to have a start at it on my iPad air 2020. Was having a look at Adobe Fresco but get the feeling that I should rather buy Procreate. Also will look at the other tutorials and will have to watch them several times to get things working for me (left handed so need to 'mirror' what I see) but at least I see the actual painting so I can understand it

Hello, I am your subscriber. I was always looking at your drawings, but after seeing this art, I recently started drawing. Your picture is really amazing. Thanks to you, I started KZbin as well as drawing. First of all, I will draw according to the instructions in your tutorial, and then I will try hard to draw until I can draw myself. I hope everything goes well.

I have been away from art on my iPad for far too long. Your new video, the uk poor weather, plus staying in is the new going out! has all prompted me to get back on the ipad+app. I have not been to your Patrion Page yet. Do you have a video on how to download your patrion colour palet. Cheers
@JamesJulier-Artist4 жыл бұрын
If you follow the link in this video description whilst on your iPad, then click the colour palette link and when you open procreate it should have landed at the bottom of your palettes list

Gideon Timmermans hello, Today I got my first download from James patreon link. I am no tech wizz. It may be your selected browser that YT uses on your Ipad may not be liking the patreon platform. On my ipad it used Safari to go to his Patreon. Have you any restrictions on your user profile. As I say am am sorry I am not jedi with this stuff. If it helps yes I have the paint pallets but I am stuck at about 23mins. When james starts to copy and past the canvas and remove lower portion then flip and motion blur. Up to that point all was going well!!

Hi James, thanks for another great tutorial. A lovely piece. One question, when I use the Airbrushing brush as you do, I notice it is very difficult to get a sharpened edge. Could this have something to do with my Pressure Curve settings? Thanks James.
@JamesJulier-Artist4 жыл бұрын
Thanks David! I’m not really sure I quite understand what do you mean sharpened edge?
@davidmontgomery8744 жыл бұрын
James Julier Art Tutorials Hi James, I suppose that I find the brush has more of a grainy or much softer edge than the Hardbrush brush. Because of this when the Airbrushing brush is set at a low opacity it appears the strokes are more muted and hard to see at the edge of the stroke. I realize that the Airbrushing brush IS a much softer brush, ...I am judging my results to your strokes and wondered if perhaps I need to adjust my Pressure Curve settings. I hope this makes sense and I sincerely appreciate your thoughts. Thank you James.
@JamesJulier-Artist4 жыл бұрын
The soft brush is meant to be softer on the edges, I mainly stay zoomed out and concentrate on the general effect. If I used the harder brushes with crisper edges the image I create I think would look dreadful closer up lol
@davidmontgomery8744 жыл бұрын
James Julier Art Tutorials Thanks James I appreciate your thoughts. I agree that staying zoomed out would be better. I tend to work zoomed in for precise detail and I suppose this is why I notice the effect more. Thanks again very kindly and have a nice weekend!
@JamesJulier-Artist4 жыл бұрын
I suppose you will need to add a little more texture and detail if zooming in more. Thanks David you too
@ovidiomallo34024 жыл бұрын
I just started following you with your drawings and I really like how you draw and also how you explain things! However, one problem I have is that the airbrush is *very* blurry if I zoom in a little bit (all over the whole painting). Is anyone having the same issue?
