Will this work with the newer, thinner, 12.9 iPad Pro? It looks like there is a lot of space between the corner grips and the iPad and I am looking for one that doesn't have too much play in it and will hold it tightly.

yes this will work fine with any iPad Generation!. With space in the corner grabbers, the grip is still tight, it wont move.
