Hey one thing if you can test for me, for both iPads when playing 4K HDR can you screen record. *Since screen recording while watch HDR video on KZbin with my iPad Pro 2018 12.9” the display uses full 600nits of brightness* It’s like it doesn’t dim (to like 300 nits) while playing HDR [Screen recording it makes it boost up full brightness], and see if both displays look similar when playing HDR, since it’s really bright when screen recording

Still have my 2018 11” iPad Pro and it still works perfectly fine paired with the latest Apple Pencil. I only use it for light work and it’s a daily driver for movies and shows on the go. Don’t care for games for extreme video editing work. Won’t need to upgrade unless there’s a new drastic change wether it be design or better functionality,

Thanks for the helpful video, Noah. I'm thinking will be hanging on to my 11" 2020 iPad Pro, at least until iPad productivity apps come out that overtax the A13Z Bionic CPU. At the moment, I find the 2020 iPad Pro is a perfect travel companion, and I can run Photoshop and Luma Fusion and some MS Office apps, but I have an Alienware A51m R2 beast for running my entire Adobe CC subscription and full MS Office, and I do prefer Premiere Pro to Luma Fusion, due to familiarity. When the whole of Adobe CC and Office run smoothly on iPad Pro, but only on the M1 version, then, maybe I will upgrade. As it is right now, I'm not even stressing the living daylights out of the A13Z, let alone an M1.

Probably one of the best videos on the new iPads so far! Writing this from my 2018 12.9” iPad Pro but thinking of biting the bullet and upgrading to the M1 after WWDC. Definitely looking forward to seeing how the white Magic Keyboard holds up over time. I have last year’s black model and so far it’s fine but it definitely is a dust magnet. Especially on the rubbery parts.

The file transfer speed difference you laid out between the M1 iPad Pro and older iPad Pro with USB-C didn't seem all that great: 88 seconds vs 100 seconds...that's only a 12% improvement, which seems slightly underwhelming considering the M1 has a Thunderbolt port. As someone who uses my 2018 iPad Pro 11" as a de facto backup storage when I'm on the road in lieu of an actual MacBook, I was hoping for a more substantial improvement to justify an upgrade (outside of jumping to the 12.9" size).

I've been using the 2018 ipad pro for drawing and light video editing but now that I've completely transitioned editing my videos on the ipad pro I've started noticing some parts where the 2018 has loading delays in multitasking(split screen) and difficulty with playback when editing videos with filters & effects. As the ipad pro is my professional DAILY device (even more than the macbook) I decided that it's time to upgrade and just look forward to what the M1 has to offer since I don't plan to get an M1 macbook anytime soon :)

I walked into apple yesterday to replace my 11 iPad Pro model MTXQ2X/A. I walked out empty handed. The newer iPad just did not excite me. Sure it’s faster, but not stupidly faster. Sure the cameras are upgraded, but that’s what my iPhone 12 Pro Max is for. Cmon Apple………this is quite a minor upgrade.
