I dropped my iPad Pro 10.5 in, it landed on it’s corner. On the side walk no less. Fortunately I hade a Komo rubber case. It totally wraps the iPad. No damage to the iPad. Apple’s cases are scant and offer little protection.

I do use the arrow keys in “Numbers,” which is Apple’s version of “Excel.” Regarding the kickstand moving back as you tap the screen, I purchased some very inexpensive ‘foam pads’ at a hardware store that I placed on the edge of the kickstand, eliminating the scooting back. The number one reason I like the Logitech Folio Touch is the protection of the iPad. I want something that will protect my expensive iPad in case I drop it. I do not want to take the iPad in and out of the case. I want to always keep it in the case. I also really like that you can keep the iPad in its case when you use the different modes: typing, sketching, book and viewing. The third thing I really like are the two different ways to place the Apple Pencil in the holder. I want a case that’s going to hold my expensive Apple Pencil without fear that it’s going to drop.

Switched to the Logitech keyboard (still using it now) and use it on the couch or recliner all the time. When sitting, I use a pillow on my lap when using to get the best view and avoid tilting my head at a greater downward angle.

When I went to get my iPad I was ready to purchase the smart keyboard folio that is until I heard about the Logitech Folio Touch a few hours earlier. The magic keyboard wasn’t an option for me because of the price but I decided to go with the Logitech Folio Touch case. Yeah the magic keyboard is cool and has slightly better features and all of that but I favor functionality over aesthetics. I knew if I got the magic keyboard I would have to spend extra to get the protection I wanted to protect the sides of my iPad. With the Folio Touch I don’t have to worry about being afraid that my iPad is going to to get damaged. Another huge plus and deciding factor for me was the function row of keys, as mentioned. That’s one of the best things about this case. I’ve never used the magic keyboard before and I’ve never owned a macbook so I have nothing to compare the trackpad experience to other than my 15.6” Lenovo Yoga laptop. I think it’s amazing that I can get a feel for the trackpad gestures that apple provides without spending an arm and a leg for it. I’m very happy and content with my purchase. Best $160 ever spent!!

I have the 12.9 iPad, so the cost of the Magic Keyboard was more than 299, and it’s still worth it. Expensive? It hurt for a minute, but not anymore! I believe in getting what I want. This magic keyboard is pretty awesome and I haven’t regretted the purchase. Other keyboards just don’t cut it. Nothing out there does what the Magic Keyboard does or how it does it. I do wish there was a storage for the pencil on the back. Almost lost my pencil the first day. But, I purchased a pencil sling from amazon for $10. It solves the problem. I hate that kickstand on other keyboards. Did I mention with the 12.9, it’s a bigger keyboard? I couldn’t imagine typing on a 11 inch.

I’m being completely honest here; the Logitech really surprised me - from the cons you pointed out in your vid just doesn’t correspond with my experience. Keys, trackpad/strolling, positioning the case on my lap all feels great. Protection and robustness is outstanding. Best investment I’ve made in a longtime and with Logitechs firmware update app for the keyboard was the icing on the cake. I’ve worked on Mac for nearly 25 years so Great job Logitech, very impressive product. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Great video as always. I use the arrow keys (and shift) to highlight text. For smaller sections of text, I often find it faster and more precise than doing it with the trackpad. Question: The 12.9 Ipad + magic keyboard is a bit odd on the lap, as the IPAD weight keeps pulling the device away from you, forcing you to grab the keyboard to stabilize it. Does the 11” offer better lap balance - since the 11” is lighter than the 12.9” but the magic keyboards are apparently similar weight. Would be great to get your thoughts. Thanks.

None explained just how heavy it makes the iPad. I had it two days before sending it back. it just wasn’t going to work for me and spoiled the ipad experience. I’m waiting to upgrade my iPad Pro until they make a keyboard with pass through power and function keys. Maybe it’s petty, but I want both and I’m not willing to spend over a grand for something that’s going to be constantly frustrating me. But I will say, I might compromise on one of those if there were two USB-C ports that could transfer data. Immagine having a doc set up with a second screen and power, but two pulls and you have a portable tablet with all the functionality that you use on a regular basis. Something that convenient might even make me want to use Apple’s native productivity apps instead of frequently being annoying that the Microsoft free versions mess up formatting when I need to make a small correction on the road to something created on my Windows based system.

The only time I use the arrow keys is in photoshop or affinity photo and that’s just to make small adjustment moves to line up objects if the object doesn’t snap

you use the arrow keys to move the cursor for text editing... it's faster and more precise than touch/mouse

After waiting to buy one Magic Keyboard, because of the price, I just was able to get a good deal for one! So happy with the keyboard and all the functionality I am able to get out of it! That plus now the IpadOS15 is keeping me busy getting the best out of them.

Tried the Logitech Slim Folio (competitor to the normal folio keyboard for the iPad Pro 2018), never again - It was so bulky I may as well have just stuck with carrying my laptop. I swapped for the Apple Keyboard Folio and never looked back. Would likely go for the magic keyboard if I needed a trackpad regularly on my iPad (I just hate you can’t fold it back to get it into “tablet mode”

I use the arrow key to highlight text. With ctrl+shift+one arrow you can highlight text

Did you try the Logitech slim folio pro? I’d love to see how that compares because it has the function keys, backlight, no trackpad but seems like it could be in the mix

I use the arrow keys to turn on the backlighting without slipping a letter into the text.

Logitech is not for me to there’s to far to much bulk. Magic Folio keyboard all the way if you can them at a reduced cost. Great comparison review 👍

OK So i Own a magic keyboard 11 inch for my ipad air 4 and here are some pros and cons: (i will not count the floating design of the magic keyboard as you do not notice it at all when you’re using the device and you’re focused) PROS: The keyboard is backlit and you can adjust the brightens level you can easily remove the ipad from the keyboard and just use the ipad, and then put it back on the trackpad is AWESOME (but a little small, but you get used to it) Keys are very smooth and fun to type on CONS (PLEASE READ): I have had many software issues since i got this keyboard( a month back) such as: 1) The round cursor sometimes glitches on screen , and it also FREEZES in spots, i have to turn off my ipad, restart it and then put it back on for the cursor to start functioning again which is a terrible drawback, i haven’t heard many people talk about this, but it does happen to me, and many others if you go on google and search up “magic keyboard trackpad is not working” and you’ll see that there are many people on apple discussions talking about this same issue. 2)Since the keys are open and backlit, there is no felt cover to protect the keys, this allows for dust and small food crumbs to get inside the keys, and i have to spend a good a mount of time to clean it! ~ There is a solution to this, you can by a TPU plastic keyboard key caps cover from casebuy on amazon and it’ll stop making the keys dirty, and you can wash it under water with soap to reuse it again and again, i order this from amazon a while back and i’m waiting for it to arrive in round about 1 week (ill update this comment after i’ve used that) 3) The floating design is really cool but this means that the only thing holding the ipad in place to the keyboard are MAGNETS 🧲 these are very strong but 1 time, just 1 time when i was adjust the volume on my ipad, i pushed the ipad a bit down, maybe a millimeter, and it looked slated on the keyboard, so i had to take it off and put it back, but this happened only once so far so i’m happy. OVERALL: Doing i regret buying this magic keyboard?? No its great , but i had the choice between this and the folio touch, and do i regret NOT GETTING the folio touch? Yes!! i don’t have it obviously but its a whole lot cheaper and it has a row of function keys, is also backlit, and has and has a very good trackpad too!!! so sometimes i wish i has gotten the folio touch as it would have been more durable, and would actually protect my ipad when it falls!! so i recommend you guys to get the folio touch, not the magic keyboard, and not the smart folio thing from apple either, just the logitech folio touch, thats all i have to say, i hope you guys have a wonderful day, cya! 🤙

Good video! I have owned iPads since the first and have loved them for documents and media consumption and I’ve never owned a keyboard for it. Even in my days of using it to take notes in college. If I were to go with any one of these it would be because of looks when sitting on a desk when visiting with clients and Magic Keyboard would be it even though the function keys are missing *wtf Apple….*. Looks like it would make a great docking station for not tablet mode.

I had both. Sort of depends what you want. But both are so heavy and bulky I sent them back. I have the apple folio keyboard which is about the max weight I tolerate. They just need to add a backlit keys
