Hi Caner, it must have been a big adjustment to go from a very paper based airline line like Turkish Airlines to a very computerized Airline like Emirates. It is wonderful that Emirates provides an I-Pad to each pilot to use for work. With as fast as technology is advancing it is hard to keep up it at times.

Hello Carner, thanks for your videos. Could you make a video about what were you allowed to do inflight? For example using wifi on board, using your own ipad to read a magazine, your crew meal, netflix, how was your rest in different routes, how it works, 2,3,4 pilots depending on routes? Cheers

@@CanerAcarbay I used to work at EK over 15 years ago as cabin crew and I'm now I'm joining as an FO. I've heard from people who are still there that layovers nowadays are not as fun as they used to be. Back in the day social media and internet in your pocket didn't exist so layovers were incredibly social. Most of the time, a large portion of the crew used to plan activities (depending on the destination of course) so by the end of the flight you went home with a bunch of new acquaintances (although you rarely saw them again off work). Also during the flight the atmosphere was very social and friendly and most of the times during breaks there were people hanging out in the flightdeck keeping the pilots some company. This also built nice team atmosphere that continued during the layovers. Is it true that the atmosphere is not like that anymore?

Hello Caner! Can you compare safety in the USA Vs Dubai? I am very worried about it and is the only bad thing that stops me to apply to US carriers

When you work for Emirates. You are not going to be in Dubai for 15 days each month. Unless you have no plan to leave hotels in layover, Dubai is a safer option. Safety is very sensitive topic and everyone has his or her tolerance. Unfortunately, I cannot help you with this question because my safety understanding can be different than yours.

@@lastmaan I think they have to say there is no job guarantee for legal reasons. As sometimes emirates hire a lot and other times they fire a lot. And emirates would want pilots to be trained their way first so they might give graduates “special treatment” while applying.
